1 I think that the instructors for the Industrial Millwright were very effective in their teaching. my only gripe from taking thatclass is that they need more updated equipment to work on, like the pumps and crusher etc. Overall I had a greatexperience at GBC and I am planning on finishing my Associates in the spring of 2018.

2 The Hands-On lab in Winnemucca is inadequate to prepare people for the real world. It is drastically too small and theallotted time to work in the lab and apply principles, as well as to figure out what you have learned or not, is inadequate.This is the weakness in the program that will show up in the field.

3 Good, but I was already an Interpreter when I started. The Certificate does not have ANY contents at all related to whatyou're going to facebon Court, (or in any other set for that matter), that content being Interpreting techniques(Simultaneous and Continous Interpretation and Sight Translation). So the Diploma looks pretty on your resume, andthat's all it does.

3 Overall, I think my advisor and some instructors contributed a lot to my learning and college experience at GBC.However, in the beginning, I enrolled in the wrong classes due to misinformation from one of the counselors in Berg Hall.I feel that I could have saved a lot of time and money if advising had been correct from the very beginning. I believe thatthe college experience starts with the instructors, although I've had some amazing ones, there were some that madelearning very difficult. However, I would not change my experience at GBC because of the amazing staff and faculty.Thank you all very much!

7 I enjoyed my time at GBC. Everyone I interacted with at GBC was helpful and nice. If I had problems I could talk to astaff member and they would help me through it. There was never a moment where I thought that GBC didn't care aboutme. I would recommend GBC to anyone looking to get an affordable education with staff that care about you.

8 Considering they got rid of the Agricultural program at GBC breaks my heart. Without agriculture everyone would behungry, naked and jobless... think about it. Upsets me that funding was cut.

14 There was one professor who went above and beyond to make sure that I was learning. He really took me under hiswing, offering support even after I had finished his class. 17 I work full time to support my family and took the Online classes that my degree offered and that was the only way Icould have continued my education. The online classes and degrees were what brought me to GBC.

# Q1: BACHELOR'S DEGREE DATE
1 Unfortunately the advising that I received from the Advising Center at GBC in Elko was lacking; in fact it cost me two (2)years of my life. This was probably due to the fact that the hiring process and recruitment of these advisers is remedial atbest, and not very comprehensive and based upon political ties or anatomical beauty rather than ability. Moreover, yourmath section of advising needs to be amplified. For one, the accuplacer is accurate but nobody works in number theoryin high school so that portion of the test should not apply. Second, no one should have to waste a year and a half to getto college mathematics usually being forced into MATH 095 then 096 and finally into 126 or 152 (and classes whichapply to college credits). Furthermore, the science and math departments need to stray away from Pearson for theirclassroom materials it's not very efficient. Secondly, the math and science departments need to take an educationalcourse for creating assessments (EDU 406) because asking someone to describe a picture and not specify the howmany characteristics or values they would like addressed and then grade according to their "own opinions" is paramountto the favoritism system. Also, if there are students in the CTE or MIT courses let them know, depending on their degreeor certificate choice, the type of classes will be predetermined. For example, someone getting an associates in electricalengineering will only require MATH 116 and ENG 107, but a bachelor's degree in the same discipline will require ENG101, 102, and MATH 126, 127, and probably 128. One more thing that has been a deteriorating affect upon Great BasinCollege is the push for online courses. First, the type of graduates who have had the majority of their classes online,more likely than not, do not possess the type of skills associated with individuals who took live classes. One reason isbecause they are not learning how to public speak efficiently, and how to argue intelligently and academically. And NOthe online discussion boards do not substitute in this regard. Secondly, those graduates are also making othergraduates look like crap because employers and others regard all graduates from GBC as being that competent or lackthereof. Further when you hand out certificates - not as an additional achievement but alone - during graduation (as ifthose students are graduating) it feels as if our accomplishments (individuals who have associates and bachelor'sdegrees) are worthless; especially considering the disposition of those who have obtained certificates. However, to endon a more positive note I did take live classes and did receive an excellent education and am appreciative of theprofessors and staff who supported me in this endeavor. To them I extend my gratitude.

3 You need to teach with the objective to graduate students that will have a good foundation in their fields of study, that willbe able to compete with an edge. Don't focus on simply graduating students. Make it their time's worth. Those that willeventually graduate will appreciate it and those that stumble will be motivated to push themselves.

5 The rating for advisor is a lot skewed. When I first started my education, my advisor was Thomas Matula, who had not asingle clue who I was for the 3 of 5 years I took to get it. I self-advised because he was absent and unavailable and justnot a nice person. When he left I was assigned to Stephen Theriault who was the EXACT opposite. He made a point ofseeking everyone out in order to advise and he is still advising me through my Master's program. Professor Theriault hasbeen invaluable to my education and a great benefit to GBC in all areas.

7 GBC is an excellent college! Even as an online student, I never felt like I was an afterthought to the professors and theircurriculum was well thought out and implemented. I'm currently attending another state college through an onlineprogram and they are far below GBC in their setup and implementation and are not nearly as well organized as GBC. Inever had issues getting assistance from the admissions office, registrar, or instructors/professors at Great Basin. It wasa wonderful experience and I highly recommend GBC to anyone I know (and even those I don't!) when I hear of a needfor college classes.
