Introduction

Curiosity is the motivation for people to figure out what the world looks like and what is happening on the earth. Q daily provides bunch of news which the public most concern about currently, which are much more attractive to users, and which are not covered in other news platforms.

Introduction

The news covered on Q daily mainly refer to business, grouping around 15 representative corporations which influencing our daily life most, including Google, Baidu, Amazon, Alibaba, etc.

There are 6 main columns on the left side.

Well classified and ordered.

Function

Clicking on the “Curiosity Institute”, there is a column called “I say”. Usually editors would present a topic and there is a comment part for users to express their own opinions. The comment would become a sticker on the board, waiting other users to “like”.

Interactivity

The articles are all original, written by editors and professional writers. The length of each article is usually condensed to 1000-2000 words. Instead of simply reporting the news, the writers would analyze the phenomena and point out the profound reasons and influence.

The high quality pictures in the content are very eye-catching.

Just as everyone has his/her own characteristics, the preference in terms of news reading also differs from person to person. Q daily offers different types of news to satisfy users’ needs.

Waterfalls combined with character cards to show the contents. The titles of articles are "curiosity killed the cat" type, so that people desire to click. However, these articles are not the title party.

How to get the business news more and more interesting is the challenge of journalism in the new media environment. What Q daily does is a creative try and provides a possible way to attract readers’ attention. What I appreciate most of Q daily is the topics of news it focuses on. Instead of being exposed to normal news which seem not that relevant to us, the news in Q daily, such as Apple products, is exactly what we want to know. Apart from that, Q daily provides a platform for users to express freely what opinions they hold. I think that is part of the reason why it to some extent makes a success.
