Chemical discoveryIn 1835, the chemist Henri Victor Regnault observes for the fi rst time a white solid mass inside a fl ask of vinyl chloride that had been left exposed to sunlight. For almost 100 years, industry was not able to master that stiff and

fragile material.

Industrial originsFor the fi rst time, in 1926, the tyres producer B.F. Goodrich Company developed a method to work PVC blended with various addivitives. Th e result was a fl exible and easily processed material that soon achieved

widespread commercial use.

A wide diff usionWith the outbreak of World War II in 1939 and, above all, with the post war economic boom, PVC becomes one of the most used plastic materials in the world. However, it has a limit: coating systems are complex and it is not

possible to be creative.

Rennerplast originIn 2012, aft er six years of studies, Renner Italia launches its 1k and 2k water-based coatings of Rennerplast range. In that moment, PVC offi cially enters the future. PVC objects can be coated in any colour and in any aesthetic eff ect. Furthermore, Rennerplast

improves outdoor durability.

In two simple steps, Rennerplast topcoat looks perfect. After a cleaning of the surface with compressed air,

remove the protective film.

On the PVC surface, apply the AP M088 cleaner,with a microfiber cloth or a scotch brite.

Spread 125-150 µm of Rennerplast coatingin one single coat.

Thanks to Renner Italia’s tintometric Color System, Rennerplast offers many advantages: • Absolute constancy of production and repetition of the colour by

means of volumetric dosage machines • Colour formulation in a few minutes: starting from white or neutral

To facilitate the preparation of the colour, Rennerplast proposes two different versions of each converter: • NTR or neutral: for the preparation of dark colours • SBN or white: for the preparation of light colours

Artificial ageing test with xenon lamp Rennerplast coatings follow UNI EN ISO 4892 norm.
