values and determine speedDetermine how the values will be

calibrated into the game

ADDRESSING INITIAL PROBLEMS

Page 4: Purple Penguins

MORE INITIAL PROBLEMS• Stability of the tricycle• Making the tricycle suitable for

all types of people• Creating a game– Collision detection with buildings– Creating a track– Timer and finish line– Programming AI/opponents

Page 5: Purple Penguins

ADDRESSING INITIAL PROBLEMS

• Using metal to stabilize the tricycle• Buying metal bars to put the chair on• Using Alice 2.2 to create a game– Distance functions based on the width of

the building that move you backwards when hit• Circular buildings were not included so inside

circular buildings are smaller square buildings to make a solid environment

– Timing and movements of T-Rex programmed based on environment

Page 6: Purple Penguins

COMPLETELY SOLVED PROBLEMS

• Game was created entirely• A tricycle was bought and

materials for a rig• A sensor was decided on• The board to connect the

tricycle’s turning to the game was bought

Page 7: Purple Penguins

Make the tricycle’s seat fit in the rig and keeping it on the ground

Make the wheel suitable for everyone and rigging the sensor

Keeping the wiring out of sightConnecting the readingsfrom the sensor to the game

ADDRESSING CURRENT PROBLEM

Page 9: Purple Penguins

This week the rig and physical model of the game should be done

Electronics should be done over spring break

The game is done besides final touches

WHERE THE GAME IS

Page 10: Purple Penguins

THE FINAL PLAN• Physical model:– 3 separate tracks–One for each side of the chair to

lock the chair in to different positions

–One track for the wheel and handlebars

– A stand for the handlebars

Page 11: Purple Penguins

THE FINAL PLAN• Electronics:– Makey Makey board to turn the game from

input from the bike– When rectangles on the base of the

handlebars contact the metal surface of the stand, it creates a circuit that is registered as a keystroke on the computer

– The sensor will be calibrated in 3 setting to move a servo that creates a circuit and moves the game different speeds based on the keystroke

Page 12: Purple Penguins

THE FINAL PLAN• Software:– The game was made in Alice 2.2– 3D modeling and game design

software– Features a race on the moon in a

space city in a all out sprint to the finish to save Jesus from the T-Rex you are racing because let’s face it, who doesn’t want to race a T-Rex on the moon to save Jesus?
