On November 13, we are asking celebrities, on-air talent, and media influencers to join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in the fight against pancreatic cancer by wearing Purple for a Purpose on World Pancreatic Cancer Day. World Pancreatic Cancer Day marks a global effort to significantly raise the profile and awareness of this disease. Pancreatic cancer is currently the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the United States and is anticipated to become the second by 2020. Only six percent of Americans diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive more than five years. Last year, on-air talent and journalists (including Robin Roberts, Kathie Lee, Hoda Kotb, Carson Daly, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Savannah Guthrie and many more), joined hundreds of supporters by wearing Purple for a Purpose. This year, we would love to see your team show support to make an even bigger impact. Please let me know if you will Wage Hope with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and wear Purple for a Purpose.
