2018 is a Growth Year for Entertainment Video on demand. Content streaming. Hyper-targeted content and advertising. These are just a few of the developments that will transform the media and entertainment industry this year, according to Kevin Westcott, vice chairman and US Media and Entertainment leader, Deloitte Consulting LLP. Advances in mobile, video, and wireless technologies have ignited an explosion in the growth of streaming services. Nearly half of US households subscribed to one as of 2016, and 60 percent of US consumers (and 82 percent of millennials) stream TV shows at least monthly. The growth of streaming services is driving a number of media and entertainment industry trends, including: The emergence of vMVPDs: Virtual multichannel video programming distributors (vMVPDs) like DirectTV Now, Sling TV, and YouTube TV now hold about 20 percent of the US subscriber market. The rise of cord-shaving: A million US viewers recently replaced their multichannel subscription services3 with more streamlined solutions. Nimble media companies will seize the chance to leverage this emerging demand. The growth of targeted advertising: We’re seeing pockets of innovation regarding data analytics and personalization. Look for media and entertainment companies to start augmenting customer information with social media. Growing Number of Crypto Affluents Neglected by the Industry Cryptocurrencies are sky rocketing in value. The value of bitcoin, the first and most well-known crypto-currency, has increased twenty-fold in the last year. Some alt-coins have even seen growth of a few thousand percent over the last 2 years – indeed no other category of asset has offered such upside in the last decade. This along with the token sale boom and the rich 24-7 trading opportunities fueled by price volatility has created a growing new community of affluent people –the “crypto-affluents”. Few luxury merchants accept crypto-currencies Crypto-users are more privacy-conscious than your average user, while luxury merchants need more targeting data than your average marketer to market their goods Luxury lifestyle merchants simply do not know how to reach crypto-affluents Luxury merchants are among the most traditional of companies, and are used to traditional modes of marketing. They simply have no way to easily reach out to crypto-affluents. This is especially so as we have observed that the crypto-currency/blockchain community is as insular as the luxury industry. Luxury merchants have always required more targeted marketing due to the niche nature of their products and the need for the right brand positioning. That higher level of targeting is currently obtained through channels that extensively track user’s preferences and spending habits. As an example, the Amex Centurion card and other premium credit cards are how many luxury merchants reach out to fiat-millionaires. The data tracking of fiat millionaires in traditional banking systems allow luxury merchants to target and identify the right audience for their products. Short of crypto-affluents converting all their crypto-assets into fiat currencies, subjecting themselves to traditional banking systems and its perennial tracking, what we have is a double-sided access problem, in which luxury merchants similarly cannot reach crypto-affluents. Status of Digital Entertainment Popular apps like Apple iTunes, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, TwitchTV, Hotels.com and Trivago make nearly all of their content available online. These applications generated about $15-20 billion in revenue in 2016. According to estimates, they are expected to earn approximately $30 billion dollars in 2025. According to analysts, a large portion of these figures are from monthly paid memberships and ads.

Due to globalization, there is a huge spike in participation in concerts, world tours, leisure travel and gaming. With the progress of new technologies, the widespread use of smart mobile phones and faster internet connections, contents from the entertainment industry are consumed quickly and more consistently.

Ticket fees and the content and scope of the activities offered vary and increase in demand and utility. As a result, the organizer and the production company also profit from the services offered in the concert and event areas. Industry Issues Most of the channels that are providing access to entertainment work with advertising in a certain structure. Most content comes from you being in the preliminary target audience and by reading your data. Funding Breakdown A certain part of IMPEREUM will be retained by the company and/or the Distributor to ensure the long-term alignment of interests.
