Requirements for Suppliers

How to read this document?

This document A66510-A0001-Z000-*-7425 defines the fundamental requirements for suppliers of products and services to Infineon Technologies as an organization. It belongs to the General Terms and Conditions of Infineon Technologies and is therefore valid without suppliers’ signature. For further Guidelines for Suppliers see http://www.infineon.com/suppliers/requirements.

The requirements depend on the potential risk of the application of the supplied product. They are attributed to suppliers bydedicated levels (see 1.2: Types of Suppliers). This Type of Supplier is needed to identify the dedicated requirements in the following chapters of this document. Depending on the delivered products/services a supplier may belong to more than one requirement level (Type of Supplier). In these cases the highest level has to be applied.

Each supplier may identify their requirement level by means of the Purchase Code Number from any Request for Quotation (RfQ) or Purchase Order (PO) via WEB access (http://www.infineon.com/suppliers/requirements) or by contacting the local purchasing organization.

Suppliers must be familiar with and comply with the related Purchase Specifications part B (or equivalent) and/or part C (or equivalent). In case of IFX-specific requirements or exclusions part B (or equivalent) and/or part C (or equivalent) take/s precedence over part A.

When the applicable requirements are not fulfilled, the supplier shall contact the responsible buyer and/or the Quality Management Department to jointly agree on measures to close identified gaps between status quo and the Infineon Technologies requirements.

How to apply this document?

This document is a binding section of each purchase order agreed upon between Infineon Technologies and its suppliers. It is the responsibility of the supplier to understand and ensure compliance with this document.

Although currently yet referenced by Infineon Technologies the formerly used document A66510-A0000-Z000-H0-7425 “Purchase Specification , Part A - General Agreements” (dated 2002-01-17) is no longer valid and must be discarded. By the signature of PS part B (or equivalent) as well as PS part C (or equivalent) documents the effectiveness of this document is not any more affected.

Infineon Technologies will update the PS part B (or equivalent) as well as PS part C (or equivalent) documents step by step to eliminate the currently shown reference to PS part A.

3 Quality Management Tools (QMT)

Quality Management Tools are resources to perform Quality Management Measures in business processes as dedicated techniques/methods/workflows (source: Infineon Technologies Quality Management System Part III “Quality Management Tools”).

Infineon Technologies expects that its suppliers use Quality Management Tools as appropriate for their business processes and activities. The following Quality Management Tools describe in a generic form measures and activities to achieve the requirements as addressed in chapter 2. The described deliverables shall be achieved. The measures/activities themselves show how to achieve the defined objectives and deliverables. They can be adapted to the supplier’s organizational needs. For effective and efficient use education and training is recommended.
