    Electronic Block PIN 4867-5

The electronic block provides an artificial feel of forces on joystick to the pilot duringpitching(Nose up/down) of the aircraft.

Units input - air speed and altitude from capsule unit

Units output - electrical signals 0-100 micro A. to drive actuator for increase feel offorce of decrease feel of force.

The active computer circuit is receiving speed and altitude data (E and ES) from capsuleunit.

These data are analyzed by computer circuit, which supplies a voltage whichvaries with pneumatic input data i.e. E = f(E- ES1) volt.

This voltage is compared with the voltage RF from follow up unit(feedback from actuator)the error voltage EF-RF resulting from the comparison is amplified and transmitted to thepower amplifier which supplies either data E1(high aircraft speed)or E2(low aircraft speed)of the actuator .

Thus electronic block is controlling the actuator position (increase feel of forces or

decrease feel of forces) according to the received pneumatic data.

    Amplifier PIN 7298792

The amplifier is used to regulate HOT & COLD air of cabin by opening orclosing of the temperature control volve and bypass volve.

The HOT & COLD air comes from the cooling unit which consists of a

    compressor,a heat exchanger

The principle is based on amplification and servomechanism.

Units input i) Cabin temperature sensor (2000 at 25c)

    ii)Duct temperature sensor (2000 at 25c)

Units output operating voltage 115Vac 2.5% for temperature control volve

    and bypass volve.

  • 8/8/2019 puneet ppt22

    16/17

Function:LCA FCG probe are used fuel content gauging of internal fuel tanks. Some of the probes arewith built in independent level switches (high/low level) along with fuel content gauging.

    Principal:

a)Fuel Content Gauging Probe : principle of capacitance gauging.

    b) Fuel Level Switches : principle of Weins-Bridge oscillator.

    Construction:

    a) FCG Probe:It consists of two concentric alluminium alloy tubes insulated from each other to formcapacitance plates.b) Fuel level switches:The level sensing is achieved by using 2 concentric tubes of shorter lengths and of largerdiameter than those of main gauging probes.

    17/17

    TEMPERATURE SENSORPIN 1722.00.000

Function :Temperature sensor used in helicopter to sense the temperature of the medium in which

sensitive ports (bulb) of the unit is immersed

Principle of operation :Increase in resistance of metal with increase in temperature

    Construction :

Consists of mixed resistance temperature detector, wound on an insulated former, theseare mounted in a tabular body closed at one end.

Working :Due to change in temperature resistance of temperature detector changes and appropriate

signal is sent to temperature detector

    Specification :Insulation resistance > 20m ohmlength = 82.5-83.5mmweight = 25gms max.

    used in ALH
