Introduction

This short Checklist for Pumping Concrete was developed by National Ready Mixed Concrete Association(NRMCA), American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) and the American Concrete Pumping Association(ACPA) The intent is to identify details of the process of pumping concrete prior to the start of the placement sothat all impacted parties are aware of the issues related to the construction specification, equipment andschedules, responsible persons and jobsite safety. The presumption is that on larger projects the concreteconstruction team has been through a pre-construction conference and has addressed the pertinent items in theNRMCA/ASCC Checklist for Concrete Pre-Construction Conference and those items are excluded from thisdocument. This document can be used included in a broader preconstruction conference agenda.

This Checklist is not intended to be all inclusive of the items that need to be considered and depending on aspecific project many item regarding specification requirements, testing details, construction logistics and jobsitesafety may need to be addressed in greater detail than outlined in this document. Many of these items will becritical to the success of the project and should be discussed and agreed upon prior to the placement ofconcrete with appropriate notification to the owner and his representative.
