The primarily goal of this course is teaching students common-sense pump maintenance and repair techniques so they can keep their facilities and equipment up and running. In addition to keeping equipment up and running, proper maintenance of pumps will also result in pump operation cost reductions and increased longevity. Mr De Lima Manny has extensive knowledge on pump selection, pump curves, operating pump economically, maintenance and monitoring. He trained pump operators, fitters, electricians and junior engineers in his past and present career. Clients he previously trained: Sasol, Petro SA, Anglo Gold Ashanti, Anglo Platinum, Northan Platinum Mine, Gold Fields, Sibanye Gold and Harmony, Kipushi Copper and Kinsenda Copper mine in the DRC.
