Public Works includes construction,alteration, repair or improvement onpublic land that is executed at thecost of the state or any other localpublic agency.
The Maintenance SuperintendentsAssociation (MSA) endorses theCitrus College Public WorksCertificate of Achievement. Studentswho complete the Citrus Collegeprogram can also transfer to theUniversity of La Verne Bachelor ofScience in Public AdministrationProgram. Three of the Public WorksCertificate of Achievement coursesare available online throughDistance Education, and courses arealso offered at employers’ off-campus sites.
The Public Works program isdesigned to prepare students whowish to seek entry level employmentin the Public Works industry orqualify for a more responsible posi-tion within the field. The CitrusCollege Public Works program offerstwo 18-unit Certificates ofAchievement.

Associate DegreeFor an associate degree, you mustcomplete a minimum of 60 unitsincluding a minimum of 18 units inyour major, a minimum of 22 unitsof general education, a minimum of17 units of electives and satisfy thephysical education requirement.
Please note: Only courses numbered100-299 may apply toward the associate degree.
Transfer RequirementsTransfer requirements can be inte-grated with the associate degreeoption so that you may receive adegree at the time of transfer. See acounselor for specific requirementsfor your major. Course requirementsmay vary among colleges.
