SUBJECT: Supplement to Advice 4301-E, Implementation of the Grid Safety and Resiliency Program Revenue Requirement, Wildfire Expense Memorandum Account Revenue Requirement, Revised Public Utilities Commission Reimbursement Fee, and the Cessation of the Department of Water Resources Bond Charges and Initiation of the Wildfire Fund Nonbypassable Charge Effective October 1, 2020
Southern California Edison Company (SCE) hereby submits for approval by the California Public Utilities Commission (Commission) the following changes to its tariffs. The revised tariff sheets are listed on Attachment A and are attached hereto.
PURPOSE
As stated in Advice 4301-E submitted on September 28, 2020, SCE is implementing effective October 1, 2020, two increases in its distribution rates to reflect: (1) the Grid Safety and Resiliency Program (GSRP) revenue requirement of approximately $158.6 million in accordance with Decision (D.)20-04-013 and as approved in Advice 4172-E, and (2) the Wildfire Expense Memorandum Account (WEMA) two-year amortization revenue requirement of approximately $252.5 million pursuant to D.20-09-024. Additionally, SCE is implementing the cessation of the California Department of Water Resources bond charge and initiating the Wildfire Fund Nonbypassable Charge pursuant to D.20-09-005 and D.20-09-023, respectively, as well as increasing the electric Public Utilities Commission Reimbursement Fee (PUCRF) from $0.00058/kWh to $0.00130/kWh pursuant to Resolution M-4841.
SCE submits this supplemental advice letter to include Schedule RF-E, Surcharge to Fund Public Utilities Commission - Reimbursement Fee, to reflect the updated PUCRF amount. Schedule RF-E, which contains the revised PUCRF amount, was inadvertently omitted in Advice 4301-E.1
1 All tariffs submitted within Advice 4301-E reflected the modified PUCRF changes in the
RATES section.
