The project purposes

Improvement of the database of the Agency

Improvement of the voters’ list

to the Election Code of Georgia Amendment, under which, the Agency was eligible to compare the photo, using an appropriate software (photo search system), with the latest photos of all persons with the right to vote in the same database, in order to eliminate duplications in the voters list.

Totally 4 348 919 data was checked within the frames of the project

9 595 data with status “approximate duplication” were sent to the Territorial offices of the Agency;

1 353 citizens were amnestied;

Duplication was confirmed and eliminated in 3 271 cases;

The results So far

The European Commission has lifted a ban that prevented seafarers with Georgian certificates from working on EU vessels after recognizing Georgia's efforts to comply

with international standards on training and certification for seafarers, it was announced Monday, 25.11.2013.

Georgia has taken steps to bring crew training up to international standards ( European Union) – 25.11.2013
