SRPSSA AFL TRIALSDeclan Maclean and Joseph Clancy both battled the heat at the SRPSSA AFL trials – held at Howlong last Friday afternoon. Both boys participated with skill and enthusiasm. Joseph was chosen in the SRPSSA representative team which will play in Coolamon in two weeks. Well done to both boys, and congratulations to Joseph!

SRPSSA NETBALL TRIALSChloe Scholz and Nikita Maclean will travel to Culcairn this Friday to participate in the SRPSSA netball trials. We wish both girls the best of luck. Please note that the trials have been moved from the sportsground to Culcairn Public School.

HARMONY DAYOn Monday 21st March we will travel to Yerong Creek Public School to participate in Harmony Day activities with Boree Creek and Yerong Creek students. A permission note will be sent home tomorrow. Travel will be by bus, and the students are able to purchase their lunch.

EASTER HAT PARADEOn Thursday 24th March we will be holding an Easter hat parade here at school. The students will also participate in an Easter egg hunt and enjoy hot-cross buns for morning tea. Parents are welcome to attend. Times and further details will be sent home shortly..

THE GREAT PEDOMETER CHALLENGEOn Monday 14th March the Great Pedometer Challenge will begin! Each participating student will be loaned a pedometer to use for a week – recording the number of steps they take each day.

The challenge aims to encourage physical activity amongst participants. The challenge runs for two weeks with the children wearing the pedometer one week and the parents/ carers wearing it the second week. Each child who participates will be awarded a certificate. Prizes for first and second place, supplied by Murrumbidgee Local Health District, will be awarded to students.

Information and tally sheets will be sent home tomorrow.

WORK EXPERIENCE Jaide Coghlan will be joining us next Monday as part of her work experience program. Jaide is a year 10 student at Billabong High. She has two siblings at our school – Breannah and Nicholas. The students are all looking forward to working with Jaide, and we are sure she will gain much from her time here.
