Public Parks and Gardens is the popular meeting place for private or public sector employees working with public parks and gardens. It offers inspiring lectures, exchanges of experiences and nice mingling, this time with the City of Helsingborg as the host. This years conference, the eleventh in the order, will focus on the theme: Dare to explore new approaches and new methods. How can we work with new touches and activities which attract curiosity and involvement among citizens? The lecturers come from England, Germany, France, Holland and Sweden. Presentation of lecturers

Ulla Bergström is an architect and office manager at White in Stockholm. She works with de-mocratizing forgotten urban areas by creating temporary arenas for meetings and activities, free of cost and open for everybody. She knows by her own experience that smart architecture and a bunch of pallets are far enough to reach the goal.

Ulla Bergström

Martin Hadmyr is a landscape architect, working as City Head Gardener at the City Planning and Technical Services Department, City of Helsingborg. He is one of the responsible for theme and content of the conference.

Johanna Elgström & Sara SchlyterJohanna Elgström (to the right) and Sara Schlyter (to the left) are both working as landscape architects at the City Planning and Technical Services Department, City of Helsingborg. They are re-sponsible for the design of Ocean-piren and the new sea bath, a part of the H+ area.

Peter NealPeter Neal is a landscape archi-tect and parks consultant based in London. Formerly Head of Public Space at CABE Space he was seconded part-time as a design adviser to support the develop-ment of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for London 2012. Travelling extensively, he has written both State of UK Public Parks 2014 and 2016 reports for Heritage Lottery Fund and the Rethinking Parks study for Nesta.

Annemieke FonteinAnnemieke Fontein is a lands-cape architect and head of the Department of Landscape Archi-tecture of the municipality of Rot-terdam, Holland. With her team of 35 landscape architects she is responsible for different urban development projects. For these a common concept and a method for quality ensurement has been developed – the Rotterdam Style.

Micco GrönholmMicco Grönholm, brand developer and change leader, is Head of Future at the City of Helsingborg. He adresses challenges for modern organisations and why we have to try new and innova-tive approaches to succeed and sometimes fail.

Jacqueline OstyJacqueline Osty is a landsca-pe architect working in Paris within her own company Atelier Jacqueline Osty & Associés. She teaches at the National Landsca-pe Architecture School (ENSNP) i Blois. She has worked on many urban design projects for most of France´s major cities. Her works covers a variety of landscape ty-pes from large public parks, public places to urban restructuring.

Antje StokmanAntje Stokman is a landsca-pe architect and professor of architecture and landscape at HafenCity Universität Hamburg, Germany. Her work focusses on strategies to develop infrastructu-ral and ecological systems as a basis for sustainable urban form and design of urban landscapes. In 2011 she received the Topos Landscape Award.
