MAXINE MARIE LANGENFELD 98 PERRY Maxine Marie Lan- genfeld, 98, formally of De- fiance and Johnston Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 27 at Rowley Masonic Home, in Perry, IA. Maxine was born in Defi- ance, IA in 1922 and gradu- ated from Central High School in Omaha, NE in 1939. She taught English in the Iowa school system for 46 years from 1944 until her retirement in 1990, the latter 20 years of which was at East High School in Des Moines. Maxine fol- lowed her years of teaching with a second career in Real Estate in the Des Moines area. In addition to her careers she spent time on the family farm of 102 years in Defiance, visiting with friends in Iowa and her family back east in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Maxine is survived by her niece Diane Dickson, of East Falmouth, MA; her nephew Richard Dickson and his wife Lisa of Merrimack, NH, three grandnephews Richard Dick- son Jr., Jeffrey Dickson and Robert Dickson. She was preceeded in death by her mother, Marie Schierbaum of Defiance, and her sister, Florence Dickson of East Falmouth. A private family funeral will be held in Harlan, IA. PERRY – Maxine Marie Lan-genfeld, 98, formally of De-fiance and Johnston Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 27 at Rowley Masonic Home, in Perry, IA.

Maxine was born in Defi-ance, IA in 1922 and gradu-ated from Central High School in Omaha, NE in 1939. She taught English in the Iowa school system for 46 years from 1944 until her retirement in 1990, the latter 20 years of which was at East High School in Des Moines. Maxine fol-lowed her years of teaching with a second career in Real Estate in the Des Moines area. In addition to her careers she spent time on the family farm of 102 years in Defiance, visiting with friends in Iowa and her family back east in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Maxine is survived by her niece Diane Dickson, of East Falmouth, MA; her nephew Richard Dickson and his wife Lisa of Merrimack, NH, three grandnephews Richard Dick-son Jr., Jeffrey Dickson and Robert Dickson. She was preceeded in death by her mother, Marie Schierbaum of Defiance, and her sister, Florence Dickson of East Falmouth.

A private family funeral will be held in Harlan, IA. The Pauley Jones Funeral Home of Harlan is in charge of the arrangements.
