Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Mr. Ajay Chandrakar convened a meeting of senior officials. He insisted upon the idea of the necessity of making health and medical services 100 per cent result-

oriented.

According to the health minister in Chhattisgarh, the Health Department is directly associated to common people.

The efforts of Public Health Engineering Department to supply water in the far-flung regions of Dantewada, Bijapur and Bastar (Jagdalpur) of Bastar

Revenue Division was a major developmental step.

There was an order by the Chief Minister who ordered the Collectors and police officers to provide security to those who were sinking bore-wells in

the remote regions.

It is the 20th meeting of Bastar Development Authority. About Rs 31 crore 84 lakh had been sanctioned to provide electricity connections to irrigation

pumps to three thousand 299 farmers in the area.

The permission has been granted to 20 hospitals in the 'Haat-Bazaars' region.

This is the first time after Independence and the formation of Chhattisgarh that 38 rig machines have been deployed to sink 3800 bore-wells in the

backward region.

About 1000 wells have been sunk in the last two months. There is continuous development in the operation of these programmes.
