This document explains the protocol to use around outcome measurement in the treatment of psychological trauma
Service User Information

Make sure you arrive at the appointment with the correct documentation. You will need:A service user information sheet and a service user agreement sheetNOTE: If you use a laminated service user information sheet then you can use it repeatedly for new service users

2 charts printed on 1 sheet of paper back to back, in order to track progress with the service user
Step 1
• Invite the service user to read the service user information sheet
• Invite the service user to sign the service user agreement
• Keep this in the case file with any other documents

Step 2
• Have service user fill out a CORE-10
• Have service user fill out an IES scale
• Have service user fill out a SENS scale
• Have service user fill out a RISK scale
• Look at the answers to the questions and discuss with the service user

Step 3
• Carry on with your assessment/treatment
• Make sure you ask the questions that get the information you need to be able to fill out the TA form properly at the end of the first session ( Keep it handy so you know you have the answers to the questions)

Step 4
• After the end of the 1st/assessment session fill out the TA form fully, placing the TOTAL scores for the IES, CORE-10 and SENS in the boxes provided
• If there are concerns about RISK make sure they are attended to

You will need to have the correct measures available.
Step 5
• At subsequent appointments ask the client to fill in a CORE-10 and IES measure
• At the final appointment ask the client to fill in all 3 measures again (CORE-10, IES and SENS)
• If there is still concern about RISK you may need to ask the RISK questions again

• After the end of the final session, or, if the service user drops out for some reason, fill out the EoT form fully, placing the last available TOTAL scores for the IES, CORE-10 and SENS in the boxes provided

• Post back the completed TA/EoT form to your referrer along with any other required documentation
