SECTION D (40 marks) Question 6 (30 marks) You witnessed an incident of a snatch theft while going for a walk. Write about the incident for your school magazine. Yesterday, I witnessed a snatch theft. While taking a walk to a park nearby, I saw a woman walking to her car which was parked on the other side of the road. Suddenly, two men on a motorcycle came up from her behind as she was looking for her keys in her handbag. When one of them pulled her handbag, I stood still in shock. The woman screamed and so did I. He grabbed her handbag and they rode off. However, I got a good look at their motorcycle. So, I rushed to help the woman and I gave her the registration number and the colour of the motorcycle. We should be alert when out alone. Look around to see if someone is following or watching your movements. Always have the car keys ready before you get to your car so you can immediately get in. Question 7 (10 marks) Based on the novels that you studied, write about the character that you like the best. Provide evidence from the text to support your response. Write in not less than 50 words and in continuous form; not in point form. The character I like the most in the novel “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne is Phileas Fogg. I like him the most because he is a disciplined, brave and determined person. First and foremost, Phileas Fogg is a disciplined person. He leads his life in a well organised way such as his shaving water must be of a certain degree and he eats his lunch every time in the Reform Club at his usual time. In addition to this, Phileas

The character I like the most in the novel Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne is Phileas Fogg. I like him the most because he is a disciplined, brave and determined person. First and foremost, Phileas Fogg is a disciplined person. He leads his life in a well organised way such as his shaving water must be of a certain degree and he eats his lunch every time in the Reform Club at his usual time. In addition to this, Phileas Fogg is a brave person. He shows his bravery when he decides to save Aouda. He has to risk his life and freedom to rescue Aouda but Phileas Fogg is willing to do whatever is within his reach to free her from her kidnappers. Last but not least, Phileas Fogg is a determined person. Phileas Foggs determination leads him to accept a bet to travel around the world and he finally succeeds in his quest.In conclusion, the character I like the most is Phileas Fogg because he is a disciplined, brave and determined person. He will be a good role model for all students.
