Thank you to all the parents that attended the P&C

AGM. Mrs Sherrie Piper has been elected President for

2018 and Mrs Heidi Naylor as Vice President. Mrs Heidi

McLaren will continue as Treasurer and Mrs Pam

Moloney as Secretary. Thank you to Mrs Michelle Pigg,

our outgoing President for all her work over the years.

Next Tuesday, students will be participating in Clean Up

Australia Day activities and on the Thursday is The Big

Vegie Crunch. All students will come together at 10am

and will be encouraged to bring some sticks of

vegetables to enjoy on the day.

Chloe Jefferies will be competing in the Clarence District

Swimming carnival on Thursday and we wish her all the

best.

I will be running the swimming carnival so I won’t be in

the school on Thursday. I will also be away Tuesday 27th

February and Friday 2nd of March, attending meetings.

The Big Vegie Crunch!

What is The Big Vegie Crunch?

Did you know that only 5.4% of Australian children eat

enough vegetables?

To encourage students to eat more vegetables, our

school will be taking part in The Big Vegie Crunch (as part

of Vegetable Week) on Thursday 1st March at 10 am.

Schools across NSW will be joining together to break the

record for the most students crunching vegetables

simultaneously. What can you do to help?

Pack a container of vegetables (not fruit) for your child to eat on the day

Keep serving up the vegetables at home!

Activities will be taking place for The Big Vegie Crunch and reminders will be posted

leading up to the special day.

Overdue Library Books

Mrs Farrell has placed an urgent request for all students and parents to keep an eye out

for any overdue library books. Please have a look around the bedroom, inside the car &

EVERYWHERE for your books and be sure to return them ASAP. Also, it is recommended

that students bring along a library bag to protect their borrowed books. If you don’t have

a library bag, that’s ok, simply use a shopping bag instead.

Coles Sports for Schools Promotion

Cowper PS is excited to be taking part in the Coles Sports for

Schools Promotion. We are currently collecting the vouchers, and

appreciate all the generous families who have already donated

theirs’ to us!! The promotion will allow us to get our hands on some

brand new sporting equipment that support the main curriculum in

primary schools and competitions. If you have vouchers, we’d be

most appreciative if you could kindly hand them in at the school

office. Thank you!!

Family Statement of Accounts

Last week, the Statement of Account was sent home to each Family - if you did not

receive yours, please inform the school. It would be greatly appreciated if the account

could be paid at your earliest convenience. If you’re unable to make payment in full, you

are most welcome to pay off in more manageable amounts. And, as always, if you need

any assistance, please contact the School Office. Thank you.

Congratulations to Chloe!

A big congratulations to Chloe on her achievements at last week’s

Small Schools Swimming Carnival. For her efforts, Chloe has been

selected to compete at the Clarence District PSSA Swimming

Carnival. Well done!

And, a big round of applause to all those students who competed

last week. You all did Cowper PS proud!!
