The prediction of RFID signal waves along with identifying signal interference in your physical layout requires unique surveying. A site survey is always a precursor to optimize the effectiveness of your asset tracking solution. Most site surveys are conducted through both consultation and third party inspection of your physical domain that includes the measurement of dimensional relationships, horizontal distances, elevations, directions, and angles. However, rarely is there a software platform that provides a tool that is designed specifically for site surveying from a pre-existing computer aided design of your physical domain. ProxiTrak© provides the ability to configure and operate various modes that facilitate automated monitoring and processing of tag data. Based on your selection of specific programmed configuration commands that instruct the reader on how and when to read tags and optionally process the tag data. By choosing auto mode your RFID environment will be fully automated. ProxiTrak© will listen for notification messages from the RFID reader containing any tag data that has been interrogated and push it in real-time to the web browser.

The primary advantage to this mode of operation is that multiple RFID reader devices are configured to push tag messages to a the Proxitrak© host which in turns relays the data in real-time on a distributed network. ProxiTrak© has the ability to listen for and process data from multiple readers over a wired/wireless network.

ProxiTrak© can issue commands and interact with all types of RFID readers using two different communication methods: serial (RS-232) and Telnet (TCP/IP).
