M E S S A G E F R O M Y O U R C I T Y C O U N C I L :

Dear Citizens of the Greatest City on Earth,

I have said it hundreds of times, and really never tire of it; “Providence is the Greatest City on Earth!” I love everything about this

City. Mostly, I love the people. I consider the last four years in public service a sacred trust, and one of the great honors of my

life. Thank you for allowing me to serve!

My decision not to run for a second term was difficult. A new and challenging Church assignment and baby boy ready to be born

were among the factors of my decision (By the time this newsletter reaches you my home will be filled with 5 little Low boys). I

hope my service and contributions to the City and Her People in the last four years have been favorable. I have tried to make judi-

cious decisions that were based on reason, free of personal agenda and also with the future of Providence in mind.

The name of our anticipated newborn boy will be “Walker William Low.” The first of 7 Generations of Lows in Providence was a

man by the name of William Walker Low. His Father, interesting enough was David Low too. William Walker Low was a great

Mormon Pioneer and one of the first settlers of Providence City. He started a wonderful legacy and a rich heritage for the Low

family, now seven generations later. As I finish my term, I hope to continue that legacy of yet another kind of public service, by

raising my boys as responsible and kind citizens of Providence City who will carry on the great traditions and inheritance of living

in “the Greatest City on Earth!”

May we as a Providence community unite together as friends and neighbors, looking both back to our “Rich Heritage” and for-

ward to our “Vibrant Future.”

Have a Wonderful Holiday Season!

Your friend and neighbor,

David Gordon Low

P.S. www.providencecity.com is our website for the City and contains helpful information. Therein you will find City Council agen-

das and minutes with decisions on new ordinances, resolutions, and discussion items from the past City Council Meetings. It also

contains upcoming and exciting Providence City events and activities. I invite you to spend a few minutes searching the site.

YOUTH COUNCIL SERVICE PROJECT: So far we are at 329.2 lbs. We are still a long way to reaching our goal of 5,000 pounds. Continue to bring in your

food donations to the City Offices and help the Youth Council help our community!

We are so grateful to our Youth Council and their Service to our community. This will be fun to see how much we

can collect. Providence City residents are the BEST when it comes to charity!

On November 23, 2011 we will be going around to houses collecting donations. If you wish,

you could leave it on your door step and label ‘Providence City Youth Council Food Dona-

tion.’

We will continue to take donations up through December 10th when we hold our annual Santa Day Event.

Hope to see you at this fun event!
