“The Arrow" is a 25m (82ft) sloop designed by Philippe Briand and custom built in 1987 by French yard Dynamique Yachts for performance cruising in

luxury and comfort. In 2009 this fine yacht was extensively refitted and since then she has been maintained and upgraded to a very high standard. All the

sails are self furling on a press button system, with the main sail being hoisted and furled by a hydraulic push button arrangement enabling the boat to be sailed by just two experienced people. Its wing keel design allows it to

go into shallow waters normally associated with yachts half its size. "The Arrow" has two, very economical 220hp Cummins diesel engines (with low hours) using approx 20 litres per hour and a 25hp bow thruster has been

fitted to ensure stress free berthing. The spacious, air conditioned interior of THE ARROW is luxuriously furnished and features four double staterooms with

Refit & Improvements June 2009

Deck & Rigging

Replace mast track & backing ramp with suitable harken track & car so

to receive main sail bolt rope correctly. Have bolt rope pre-feeder machined to suit. Design & fit new sheave to top of mast for topping lift. Design & fit new universal joint from mandrill to mandrill hydraulic

motor. Re-bush, machine & fit larger pins for gooseneck, boom & boom vang

attachments. Service hydraulic rams in main sail boom & replace hydraulic hoses. Service anchor windlass x 2. Service winches. Mast pulled, removed, inspected & serviced. All rigging and bottle screws inspected & serviced. Inspect and service foils for genoa & jib sail. Inspect & service spreaders & spreader ends. Fit mast back in boat, align, support & secure. Deck mast collar re-bedded and mast aligned & secured with spar tight

and new rubber mast boot fitted. Full mast & rig tune from professional rigging company. Service & fit new seal kit in back stay hydraulic rams. Design and make removable aft deck seats.

Sails

New bolt rope fitted to main sail & serviced. Genoa serviced. Jib serviced.

Lines

New mooring lines x 6. New main halyard. New genoa sheets. New jib sheets. New main sheet. New preventer line.




Hull repairs

Hull refaired & epoxy below water line. Service rudder stock bearings & seals. Inspect, service rudder quadrant. Reinforce, enlarge auto pilot hydraulic ram rod ends and loading pins to

larger size. Replace all through hull fittings, hoses & clamps. Remove keel, sand blast, metal prep & inter-protect. Remove fuel tanks & replace with new stainless steel tanks. Tank bilge cleaned, sanded, painted & flow coated. Hole saw & epoxy 40mm tubing limber holes through frames under

tankage area. Design 10mm thick keel loading plates to fit frames, ribs & stringers to

strengthen & tie in keel correctly with new stud nuts. Refit keel correctly with all said improvements. Fair & interprotect hull under water and antifoul. Respray topsides. Shafts & props coated with prop speed. All improvements & repairs done under the direction of marine

shipwright experts.

Electrical upgrades

Run all new wiring in mast to lights and wind instruments. Fit new T.V antenna at top of mast with complete new coax cable. Fit new W 25 internet system & antenna with new wiring to spreader. Fit new 1 KW Raymarine depth transducer with new wiring. Fit new Brooks & Gatehouse depth transducer with new wiring. Fit new speed log paddle wheel with new wiring. Fit new set top boxes to both TV’s. Replace all house bank batteries to new. Replace all nav bank batteries to new. Replace all cranking batteries for all engines to new. Replace all bow thruster batteries to new.

Mechanical repairs & upgrades

Serviced both main engines. Fit new raw water pumps on main engines. Fit new P.S.S seals to propeller shafts. Design & fit raw water feed & cooling to P.S.S seals.




Fit new cutlass bearings. Have propellers balanced. Realign main engines so shafts run true. New fresh water pump & accumulator tank. Redesign & remake cooper nickel manifolds for refrigeration & air

conditioning with all new valves. Sea strainers replaced to new. Service & gas refridge & air con by authorized technician. Replace bilge pumps & hosing. Fit 2 new macerator type Tecma toilets fore & aft. Purchase and fit new water maker and commission, 160lts per hour. Extensive list of spare parts on board, starter motors, pumps, injectors,

V belts, filters and pump seal kit. The fine yacht THE ARROW is equipped & very ready for extended

offshore cruising.

Interior

Purchase all new linen for all beds. Purchase all new towels, bath and beach. Purchase fine dining place mats, serviettes and table cloths. Design and purchase crew T shirts x 200.

Galley supplys & crockery

Purchase new fine dining plates, bowls, cups & serving platters etc. Purchase all new fine dining cutlery. Purchase all new cooking utensils, saucepans, fry pans, food processor,

mortar and pastel and cutting boards. The yacht is equipped with all necessary items & cooking utensils for a

professional chef to cater to any VIP’s. Purchase new wine glasses etc.

Safety upgrades & equipment

All fire fighting equipment serviced & upgraded to survey specifications. Engine room fire systems replace and upgraded to survey specifications. All fire fighting systems has current certificate. Purchase life jacket fitted with strobe lights x 10. Purchase 8 man life raft with fabricated mounting bracket fitted to deck. Purchase new EPIRB and registered. Purchase suitable flair kit.
