Ensure meaningful involvement in the Departmentsdecision making processes;

Identify and address environmental impacts;

Utilize existing grant programs, training, and

educational opportunities; and

Integrate the Departments EJ Strategies with its Title

VI of the Civil Rights Act enforcement responsibilities.

EXAMPLES OF STRATEGIES

Engage in government-to-government

consultation with tribal governments consistentwith the Departments and applicable bureauspolicies on consulting with tribal governments.

Prepare Department-wide guidance on fish

consumption advisories. Percentage of BIA/BIE school facilities which are

maintained in an acceptable condition based on aFacility Condition Index rating of good.
