CCG 10th Anniversary 2015
The Construction Clients’ Group is the only organisation dedicated to supporting both
private and public sector customers of construction.
Now in our 10th year, we now have regional centres in Auckland, Wellington and
Christchurch. The CCG promotes a learning and sharing environment for all organisations
across the construction supply chain in business performance improvement through a
better construction outcome.
The CCG also welcomes organisations from across the supply side of the construction industry
to enable client/industry interaction and to encourage improved industry integration and
enhanced collaborative working with construction clients.
The CCG provides an independent, collective voice for public and private sector clients
with the construction supply chain, government and other key stakeholder groups.

About the Construction Clients’ GroupOur RoleThe Construction Clients’ Group (CCG) has two key roles:
It is dedicated to learning and sharing knowledge about building better, faster, safer and
achieving better value for money for your construction procurement.
Of equal importance, alongside our best practice role, the CCG provides its members with
the credible voice to key industry stakeholder groups, Government, Treasury and its agencies.
Our MembersOur members from both the public (central and local government) and private sectors represent a significant proportion of New Zealand construction clients. CCG supports all clients, regardless of their core business activity, by promoting best practice that will provide better value for their construction procurement and ultimately an improved built asset. The CCG supports both private and public sector customers of construction as well as organisations throughout the delivery supply chain.

Our regional monthly meetings cover four key themes, these are:

These meetings provide:
opportunities for clients and supply chain companies to network and share best practice
a high profile events programme in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Resources - Our Web knowledge based portal provides copies of all the Meeting presentations, extensive supporting material and case studies.
Best Practice Guides and Notes - These improve client competence through published guidance and best practice.

The Creditable Voice
Influencing Government
Directly with Government through both responding to consultations and these provide opportunities to influence government policy and forthcoming legislation.
Leading the industry through Task Groups and their Workstreams
We have pan industry Task Groups working on the current issues and setting the debate with Government:
International Benchmarking Programme
Working with BRANZ and sponsored by leading Client and Supply Side Players this national KPI Report is in its fourth year. Project performance can be compared against an international recognised set of KPI’s and direct performance comparator metrics can be downloaded.
Health and Safety:
Here our CCG Safety in Design Steering Group (Chaired by Doug Ray – Vector) is leading the industry in working with Worksafe NZ and alongside ACENZ and IPENZ.
Procurement:
In Chch we led the industry, in partnership CIC and working with MBIE, Chch. City Council and CERA.
Lean:
Working with the NZ Lean Institute.
BIM: led by tBIG and working with MBIE’s BIM Acceleration Team
