Utilizing our patent pending dual direction Key SealTM technology, we have developed a line of control valves for the harshest environments encountered in the oilfield. Proserv Gilmore has seen demand in the industry for a shear seal regula-tor that can be set precisely, one that is reliable with high repeatability in performance and can be used with less than pristine control fluids. The next generation Proserv Gilmore precision regulator provides these features and more. The design parameters allow for use as three different regulators, a Supply Only Design, a Supply and Venting Regulator or a Back Pressure Reg-ulator depending on how it is configured. It has a low dead band, capable of handling a 20,000 PSI supply and has a relatively high flow at a low pressure differential. The valve performance is extremely repeatable and it does not drift. When installed in a proper circuit, its performance is chatter free. It can be manually adjusted or piloted with either a hydraulic or pneumatic actuator. It is engineered to be installed in a pocket, panel or mounted separately.

The MKIII Shuttle Valve is the result of innovative engineering, close coordi-nation with end users in the field, and the most extensive testing ever performed on one of our shuttle valves. Since its creation in 1999, over 16,000 units of varying design have been sold and used by our customers.

With the MKIII we’ve taken proven Proserv Gilmore Valve technology and performance and packaged it in an innovative valve that’s 50% smaller than conventional shuttle valves. A durable metal-to-metal seal on the shuttle assures long lasting, dependable performance. The unique design improves the performance that you expect from a traditional Proserv Gilmore Shuttle Valve.

Proserv Gilmore’s patented shuttle valve product line features hydraulic cushioning and spring detented designs. Leak-tight stainless steel construc-tion provides for both very low and very high interflow during shifting. The valves may be sub-plate mounted with seal subs for building-block logic configuration. Stainless steel dynamic seal and BUNA-N static seal designs accommodate all drilling control fluids. Some designs have spring or pressure biasing to ensure a preferred flow path. Spring biased adapters are used when a preferred default position of the shuttle is required. Pressure biased adapters are used in emergency applications, such as ROV intervention.

The Proserv Gilmore MKIII shuttle valves can be configured in stacks that permit connections from multiple pressure sources or circuits while decreas-ing tubing/piping connections, which eliminate leak paths and saves space.

Stackable shuttle valves allow for multiple supply circuit redundancy which increases options for closing BOP rams. Ram adapters are popular with some customers because they allow for direct mounting into a BOP and reduce piping requirements. Shuttle stacks are often custom-made per customer’s specific project needs because of the various options available for each inlet.

Piping/tubing connections are readily available in a wide variety of types and sizes. Proserv Gilmore can also accommodate connection configurations to exact customer specifications.

By combining our drilling selector valve technology with the key seal, we have developed a compact cartridge or manifold mounted 4W 2P valve for low flow applications at higher temperatures and pressures. Available in hydraulic or mechanical actuation, this versatile platform can even be extended to a third position. Due to this unique design, the valve is non-interflow such that the functions never communicate. Patent pending plug and play technology allows for multiple configurations.
