PROPS LIST

Jukebox◦ Necessary for the scene at the start of the video

that takes place in a diner, where Shelby will select the song ‘classic’ to start playing from the jukebox.

◦ Will be obtained by using the smaller jukeboxes they have in Ed’s Diner, provided we are given consent to film in there.

Old-Fashioned Microphone◦ Necessary for all of the shots taking place in the 20’s location, with

the rest of the band playing in the background.

Mannequins◦ Necessary for some of the shots taking place

in the studio, where some of the ‘classic girls’ will be dancing with the mannequins.

◦ It is likely that we will get people to dress up in white clothing and wear white masks as a substitute, as this prop is unlikely to be available to us.

Child’s Toy Car◦ Necessary for some of the studio shots, in

which one of the ‘classic girls’ will be pulled

along from inside the car by the boy who’s

dreaming.

Drum Kit◦ Necessary for the ‘20’s band’ shots, as

there will be a drummer, alongside a singer

and a saxophone player.

◦ We will be borrowing prop this from the

school’s music department.

Saxophone◦ Necessary for the ‘20’s band’ shots, as there will be a

drummer, alongside a singer and a saxophone player.

◦ We will be borrowing prop this from another student,

who has agreed to play the saxophone in the video.

Classroom equipment

◦ This includes props such as a smart board, some tables and chairs, a book and a pen.

◦ These will all be easily accessible as it is likely that we will be filming the shots where this

equipment is required in a classroom, where these props will already be located.

Glitter◦ Necessary for an 80’s shot where

glitter is blown over the camera,

and one of the final classroom

shots where our main character

finds glitter on his desk.

Protest signs

◦ This will be necessary for some of the shots containing the 60’s/70’s ‘hippy’ character.

◦ We will be buying the necessary equipment (e.g. paper, wood etc) to design and make these ourselves.

Ghost Busters Logo Background Sign

◦ This is necessary for some of the 80’s shots,

where we will be using intertextuality to

include a popular film from this decade,

‘ghost busters’

Hoover

shots, and tidying up the glitter after

filming.

Roses◦ Necessary for one of

the 20’s shots, which

takes place over the

line ‘4 dozen roses,

anything for you to

notice’

Clear sheet

◦ This will go in front of the

camera, to give the

appearance that the camera

has been kissed without

damaging or smearing the

lense, appropriate for the line

‘I wanna kiss you like Prince’

Fans

◦ Necessary to re-create a Marilyn

Monroe moment, to include

intertextuality from the 50’s decade.

closing shots of the video, where our

main (dreaming) character will be

listening to music.

PowerPointon History
