Proposition 2
Proposition 2 is saying that we should not confine farm animals in small spaces. Where they can not move.
Yes on Prop 2•It protects animals, food safety,and the environment
•Animals crowded in cages are more likely to get Salmonella disease than those in cage-free facilities
•Is a moderate measure that stops cruel and inhumane treatment of animals.
No on Prop 2
• Thousands of jobs will be lost and egg prices could skyrocket for California.
• Puts Californians at risk of Avian Influenza
• We”ll end up buying eggs from Mexico
Proposition 4
• Proposition 4 : Waiting Period and Before Termination of Minor’s Pregnancy
Is saying that parents, legal guardians, or a family member must know if a minor is getting an abortion.
Yes on Prop 4
• A minor can get a healthy abortion, not one done where they can die from it
• A parent could talk to the minor about the abortion and to help them decide if they want to go through with it.
• Teens are safer when a family member knows about the abortion.
No on Prop 4
• Prop 4 won’t reduce teen pregnancy
• Mandatory notification laws make scared, pregnant teens that can’t go to their parents, do dangerous things
• A minor may choose an unsafe, back alley, illegal abortion, go across the border, or even contemplate suicide
Proposition 8
• • Prop 8: Eliminates Right of Same-
Gender Couples to Marry
• Prop 8 is saying that we should ban gay marriages and that only man and women should marry.
Yes on Prop 8Yes:
• 1: it will restore the definition of marriage
• 2: It overturns the outrageous decision of four activists Supreme Court Judges who ignored the will of the people
• 3: It protects our children from being taught in public schools that “Same-Gender marriage” is the same as traditional marriage
No on Prop 8
No:
• 1: Takes the rights away of gay couples and treats them differently under the law
• 2: Gay couples are not allowed to marry who they love
• 3: takes the freedom away from gay couples
Conclusion
• Now that you have heard both points of view for the propositions, it will be easier for you to vote.
