Veolia and REG Solarpower invite you to come and see our plans for a solar project on Veolia’sOckendon waste facility, east of the B186 North Road.

We will shortly be submitting a planning application to Thurrock Council, and we would like toshow our proposals to local people.

The sessions will include images and information on the proposals and all attendees will have theopportunity to provide comments and feedback. Members of the project team will be available toanswer questions and discuss the proposals.

l Technical and environmental studies showthe site could accommodate a solarproject of up to 40 megawatts on a sitecurrently operated by Veolia.

l The solar project could generate, onaverage, enough electricity to power upto 8961 homes annually*.

l The site is not within any landscape,ecological or historical designations.

l We believe that using sites previouslyused for landfill is a good option forproducing safe, clean renewable energy.

l We expect to submit a full planningapplication to Thurrock Council within thecoming weeks. The council will then carryout its own statutory consultation.
