GERMANY’s FUTURE“HR-Strategy for a country”
Proposal to the Bundeskanzlerin.
Students BiTS HochSchule Iserlohn
SummerCourse ‘Leadership, Culture and HR in International Context’
Date: 27 July 2016
Intro
As well as each organization, each country should have a “Strategic Human Resources (and Robotics) Plan”. A country, a government, bears the responsibility for its citizens, bears the responsibility for present as well as future generations.
(Disruptive) Developments such as ageing, diversity, sustainability, globalization, lifelong learning, autonomous transport, robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, forces governments to come up with a Plan.
To inspire Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel and her government, students of BiTS Hochschule Iserlohn came up with a proposal made during their summer course at Maastricht University.
We hope that it will inspire you.

Push & Pull
IN WHICH SECTORS SHOULD WE INVEST?
Investing
Invest => Education
Basis for German know-how and values Higher education is important to get a job Investing in this sector to gain on innovation
Well educated workers for the future
EDUCATION
a good education is a solid basis for every sector investing in education is a good long term investment our country appears much more attractive for young people
from abroad public universities are a rarity in the world women have to be supported there are constantly new jobs emerging and we have to be
prepared for them we want people for jobs of high, medium and low education you can’t have a nation with just professors and CEOs
Invest => Manufacturing & Construction
Education is the basis for Manufacturing & Construction Germany is well-known for these sectors People are willing to pay more for “Made in Germany” Nuclear power phase-out will push these sectors for the future
REAL ESTATE, PROFESSIONALS, SCIENTIFIC & TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES
new jobs will be created, so our jobless rate can be reduced
improves the competitiveness in the EU job-market
we are already very competent in this field and by investing we can expand this advantage
we are already known for our car industry and we want to expand this
Invest
technical activities – renewable energies- nuclear power too dangerous (incalculable
consequences)- mining Industry too expensive and retrograde- petrol not unlimited and controlled by politics
RENEWABLE ENERGIES: NECESSARY IN THE FUTUREeducation
- according to first investment, we need knowledge of renewable energies (Education)
- Germany does not have a fully satisfactory education system
- invest in this sector to gain innovative, well educated workers for the future – to achieve determined objectives
IN WHICH SECTORS SHOULD WE DIVEST?
Divest
mining & quarrying- dying industry - not profitable- even German households receive coal from
abroad promote and support renewable Energies with disinvestment in mining & quarrying!
Divest => Mining
Cancel subsidies Not profitable Other country's are more interesting for mining Disinvesting saves money for more investing in the renewable
energy sector
MINING & QUARRYING
we only have limited resources, natural resources are exhausted
long term investments don‘t make sense anymore
wages are too highproduction costs are too highsecurity rules are important (danger of collapse)
Areas of Investing and Divesting
Divesting
Investing• Increase of financial
and industries services • Globalization
Service Industries • Digitalization of information will grow
• Networking• Level of
automization
Information Technologies
• More education leads to less agricultural business
Agriculture
Benefits
The decline within the mining sector will be compensated by educating the upcoming generation for new sectors, opportunities.The fading generation will be taken care of
by funding health and pensions.
