About the Farm

Two educators who own the farm wanted to teach students about farm life and the world around them. Their dream was to combine education and agriculture to teach children about life on the farm.

• They created the hands on

activities using farm materials .

• They wanted to intrigue the young and young-at-heart alike. With activities such as a the maze.

Teachers • Teachers can expect for the students to be totally involved with the hands-on activities .• Teachers will find that the activities are in line with the Georgia Performance Standards.

– For grades k-2nd

• S1L1. Students will investigate the characteristics and basic needs of plants and animals

– S2L1. Students will investigate the life cycles of different living organisms – SKCS1. Students will be aware of the importance of curiosity, honesty, openness, and skepticism in

science and will exhibit these traits in their own efforts to understand how the world works.

Character Education standards are also enforced at Kackleberry Farms

Cost $5. Per person under age 3 free & free for seniors
