TwoPianist Records, the brainchild of acclaimed pianists and piano duo Nina Schumann and Luis Magalhaes, opened its doors in 2008.  Originally intended to be a label for the piano duo's output, it rapidly expanded to include top international musicians such as Daniel Rowland (leader of the Brodsky Quartet in the UK) and Frank Stadler (leader of the Mozarteum Orchestra).  All the artists signed are young, dynamic and thoroughly engaging, whether on stage or on record.  Their shared passion for music has brought to light the recordings of repertoire with longevity.  TwoPianists are also committed to recording the top South African artists and ensuring international recognition that is long overdue.  TwoPianists' tiny catalogue has seen success on many continents, from rave reviews in the international press, a 2009 Grammy shortlist, as well as two of their three current CDs nominated for the 2010 South African Music Awards.

Daniel Rowland's electrifying version of the Piazzolla/Vivaldi Four Seasons in conjunction with the Stellenbosch Camerata walked away with the coveted prize.  2010 will see the release of six new discs, each one sharing an ethos of excellence.  The company is committed to the expansion of their artists' careers and are actively moving into the realm of management.

Elation accompanied the release of the Seasons of Vivaldi and Piazzolla instantly raisied the profile of the new group, Stellenbosch University Camerata, to that of a fun, vibrant and top quality South African chamber orchestra, comparable in many ways to fine internationally acclaimed ensembles of similar proportion.
