However, the total trip cost has a big difference that is RM2700 for peak hours and RM3400 for non peak hours.

8.0 Advantages and disadvantages :In order to make a correct decision, comparison need to be done especially considering the advantages and the disadvantages of the places. The first destination is Langkawi Island and its already gave an advantage on total cost that shown in Table 3. The total cost for the trip to Langkawi Island is much more cheaper than the total cost for the trip to Cameron Highlands. Neither the total cost for peak hours nor non peak hours are both cheaper than the total cost to Cameron Highlands.Refer to item 7.1 (a), another advantage for trip to Langkawi Island is regarding its accommodation where children age below 4 years old are free of charges and children age 5 to 11 years old get 30% discounts. The resort also offer twin sharing room for couples and quad sharing room for family. This gives a great convenience and comfort to both categories. The room at the resort also offer a full furnished room with air conditioning and television. The foods and drinks also is another advantage where people will be serve foods and drinks during the 2 days and 1 night stay at the resort.

Touring facilities is another great advantage to people involved in the trip to Langkawi Island. The package offer two ways ferry from Jetty Kuala Perlis to Jetty Kuah Langkawi and two ways transfer service from Jetty Kuah to the resort. The packages also include full 8 hours island tour and this can lead to a great experience to the people during the travel tours. Langkawi Island also offer great sightseeing tours to interesting places such as Langkawi cable car at Mat Cincang mountain, Crocodile Farm, Mahsuri Tomb, Galeri Perdana, Black Sand Beach, Eagle Square, Craft Complex, Underwater World, Awana Porto Malai and Seven Well. This sightseeing tours are suitable for both adults and children. Langkawi Island is a duty free zone. Hence this island is also termed Duty Free Island. All goods sold in this island are exempted from government tax. Therefore, this Legendary Island is a heaven for the shoppers.

However, trip to Langkawi Island also have its own disadvantages. Firstly, the transportation cost is a bit higher than trip to Cameron Highlands. Another disadvantage is the 30% surcharge for accommodation during peak hours. The travel tours also does not include entrance fee and this can lead to incomplete experience when adults and children can not enter the places due to small budget. Last but not least, not all activities at the interesting places in Langkawi Island are suitable to children. For example, snorkeling activity. Cameron Highlands is such a beautiful place and offer a cool fresh air. The accommodation in the package offer 11% surcharge lower than accommodation package at Resort Pantai Cenang, Langkawi Island. The surcharge is only 19% at peak hours. Refer to Table 2, the transportation fee to Cameron Highlands is much more lower than trip to Langkawi Island.

Another advantage for the package at the Heritage Hotel is there is no charges for children ages below 12 years old. Heritage Hotel also offer a full furnished room with air conditioning and color television with in-house video movies. The foods and drinks also is another advantage where people will be serve foods and drinks during the 2 days and 1 night stay at the hotel. The hotel also complete with fitness centre, IDD telephone system and complimentary coffee and tea making facilities. The package also offer touring facilities such as travel and tours; jungle trekking, limousine service and golf game by arrangement. However, the packages trip to Cameron Highlands also have disadvantages. Firstly, the total cost is so much expensive refer to trip to Langkawi Island and this can lead to main factor for not choosing Cameron Highlands as a holiday or company trip. Another disadvantage is most hotel facilities are not necessary for the people during the trip and hotel room that strictly limited for 2 adults and 2 children below 12 years old of age is not compatible for big family with small children. Certain facilities offered by the hotel does not give any advantages to children or in other words, adults domination facilities. For examples fitness centre, IDD telephone system and complimentary coffee and tea making facilities.

Most activities offered by the package are more to adults domination such as jungle trekking and playing golf. Thus, there is not much exciting and adventures activities offered at Cameron Highlands except sightseeing at Blue Valley Tea Farm, Strawberry Farm, Edible Farm and special view of neat rows on terraces cut into the hillsides.9.0 Analysis :The analysis for advantages and disadvantages shown by both places can simply and best describe in Table 4.

Furthermore, the total cost for individual and group is much more cheaper than the trip to Cameron Highland. It took only RM244 for peak hours and RM190 for non peak hours per person. Although the transportation fee is a bit expensive but the cost is reasonable. Accommodations offered by the package are suitable for couple, family and company trip with twin sharing room for couple and quad sharing room for family. Rates offered for the room is so reasonable which only RM144 for peak hours and RM90 for non peak hours. Children age below 4 years old are free of charge and 30% discount for children age 5 to 11 years old. This kind of offer can help people or family with small budget.Touring facilities is so convenience and activities conduct during the tour to the interesting places are suitable for both adults and children. This can lead to positives effects in social communication between adults and children. In a nut shell, Langkawi Island is the best location and destination for the company annual trip in November 2009.

10.2 Coclusion 2 :

Langkawi Island is a suitable place for the trip because of the various historical and interesting places that can be visited by any age of people. The most visited historical place are Mahsuri Tomb, Galeri Perdana, Black Sand Beach and the Seven Well. This historical place can lead to the sense of One Malaysia slogan where all citizen of Malaysia have the love for their own country, always unite amongst races and appreciating our own culture heritage. This kind of senses or feelings is rarely develop during any holiday trip but Langkawi Island can indirectly develop that kind of senses and feelings.

Furthermore, Langkawi Island is a duty free zone or in other words it is a heaven for shoppers. Most of the price of goods sold in Langkawi Island is cheaper and reasonable. So, people with small budget can enjoy shopping during the trip or tour. Although, Cameron Highland is a lovely sight viewing but the goods or souvenirs sold there are expensive and it is so not worth it. Cameron Highland is an exclusive place that suitable for company meeting or conference because of the packages offered there. While, Langkawi Island is the suitable place for any individual, couple, family or company to have vacation and release working stress.

Although Cameron Highland has a beautiful sightseeing but it doesnt have any beaches. Langkawi Island can provide lots of interesting and beautiful beaches. Both children and adults love having activities at the beaches such as swimming, canoeing, ride on a speed boat, camping, barbeque cooking and mini sport. In addition, Langkawi Island that situated at the North of Peninsular Malaysia is famous with lots of local foods and dishes such as Pasembor, Pekasam and Nasi Kandar. People can enjoy eating famous local foods and dishes during the tour because it is easily found at Kuala Perlis and even at the island. In conclusion, having a trip to Langkawi Island is the best decision can be made and it offer an unforgettable experiences ever.11.0 Appendix :Director of National Mapping Malaysia. 2007.
