Using MY OWN PHOTOGRAPHY to see what my magazine will look like..Mock ups of music magazine..

Ive narrowed my photographsdown to these three for the front cover..Although I like this photo, and I think it has the right indie feel to it, but her left hand and face are slightly blurred, which may lower the effectiveness of the photo. I really like this photo, I may use it for my main image on my front cover, but the only problem may be that its more in the centre than I had wanted, this could be problematic because of the layout I have chosen. I really like how natural this photo looks and being natural is a key subject of indie. This photo also fits because of the format; she is mainly in the bottom right hand corner which fits with how I want my music magazine to look

Editing the front cover main image..The sky in the background is too gloomy for that indie feel, so I will make it look more sepia tone, this will bring warmth to the image. Her hand is very slightly blurred so I will Photoshop this out.Her guitar fits well with the indie theme, and as red is a warm colour I will bring the colour of the guitar out using Photoshop.She has very small blemishes, for example a small bruise on her left leg. This could be visible so I will edit things like this, out.

Ive narrowed my photos down to these three for my contents page..I like this image, because its central and you can tell that the main theme is music orientated (the guitar case). I dont think that this image would be suitable for my main image in the contents page though because its not bold enough, I would prefer it to be a close up, I may use this in the small images Im having in my contents page..I was considering using this image because of the feel it creates in terms of calm, musical, and indie, but what has stopped me from using this photo is that it is too similar to the main image on the front cover..I think I am going to use this photo as my main image for my contents page because it is bright and central and the main feature apart from the artist is the bold, red guitar, and I think this is effective.

Editing the contents page images.. Ive changed the photo and I am going to introduce a new font for the words on the contents (Bell MT). Im not using this image of a pic, because I lost the image and couldnt find my plectrum at home.
