Initial Certification Criteria

• 2 continuous years of on - the -job experience in an ACGME or ACGME - I, or AOA/ACGME accredited specialty or sub - specialty at the time of application submission.

• 15 hours of Education Credits (ECs) completed within the previous 3 years.

• EC topics must be related to graduate medical education or professional development, with the majority focused on GME.

• 1 hour attending conference meeting or webinar = 1 Education Credit.

• Pay $350. certification fee.

One assessment; approximately 3.5 - 4 hours.

Question types: randomized multiple choice, short answer, fill - in - the -blank, and matching questions.
