Abrahamic Covenent

1 Nephi 15:18Wherefore, our father hath not spoken of our seed alone, but also of all the house of Israel, pointing to the covenant which should be fulfilled in the latter days; which covenant the Lord made to our

father Abraham, saying: I n thy seed shall al l the kindr eds of the earth be blessed.

1 Nephi 22:9

And it shall also be of worth unto the Gentiles; and not only unto the Gentiles but unto all the house of Israel, unto the making known of the covenants of the Father of heaven unto Abraham, saying: I n

thy seed shall al l t he kind reds of the earth be blessed.

1 Nephi 17:40

And he loveth those who will have him to be their God. Behold, he loved our fathers, and he covenantedwith them, yea, even Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and he remembered the covenantswhich hehad made; wherefore, he did brin g them out of the land of E gypt.

2 Nephi 29:14

And it shall come to pass that my people, which are of the house of Israel, shall be gathered home unto the lands of their possessions; and my word also shall be gathered in one. Ask

1 Nephi 15:11

Mormon 9:21

Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoeverhe shall ask the Father i n the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the

And after that he came men also were saved by faith in his name; and by faith, they become the sons of God. And as surely as Christ liveth he spake these words unto our fathers, saying: Whatsoever

2 Nephi 9:23

And he commandeth all men that they must repent, and be baptized in hi s name, having perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they cannotbe saved in the kingdom of God.

2 Nephi 31:12-13And also, the voice of the Son came u nto me, saying: He that is baptized in my name, to him will the Fathergive the Holy Ghost, like unto me; wherefore, follow me, and do the things which ye have

seen me do.13 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I know that if y e shall follow the Son, with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent, repenting of your sins,

witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ, by baptismyea, by followin g your Lor d and your Savior down i nto the water, according to his word, behold, then

shallye receive the Holy Ghost; yea, then cometh the baptism of fi re and of the Hol y Ghost; and th en can ye speak with th e tongue of angels, and shout praises unto t he Hol y One of I srael.

3 Nephi 12:1AND it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words unto Nephi, and to those who had been called, (now the number ofthem who had been called, and received power and authority tobaptize, was twelve) and behold, he stretched forth his hand unto the multitude, and cried unto them, saying: Blessed are ye if ye shall give heed unto the words of these twelve whom I have chosen from

among you to minister unto you, and to be your servants; and unto them I have given power that they may baptize you with water; and after t hat ye are baptized with water, behold, I wi ll baptize youwith fi re and with the Holy Ghost; therefore blessed are ye if ye shallbelieve in me and be bapti zed, after that ye have seen me and know that I am.

Mosiah 18:10Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you againstbeing baptized in the name of the Lor d, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that yewill serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?

Alma 9:27

3 Nephi 27:20-22Now this is the commandment: Repent, all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my n ame, that ye may be sanctifi ed by the reception of t he Holy Ghost, that ye may stand

spotless before me at the l ast day.

22 Therefore, if ye do these things blessed are ye, for ye shall be lif ted up at the last day.

4 Nephi 1:1AND it came to pass that the thirty and fourth year pa ssed away, and also the thirty and fifth, and behold the disciples ofJesus had formed a church of Christ in all the lands round about. And as

many as did come unto them, and did truly repent of their sins, were baptized in the name of Jesus; and they did also receive the Hol y Ghost.

Mormon 3:2And it came to pass that the Lord did say unto me: Cry unto this peopleRepent ye, and come unto me, and be ye bapti zed, and build up again my church, and ye shall be spared.

Mormon 7:9-10For behold, this is written for the intent that ye may believe that; and if ye believe that ye will believe this also; and if ye believe this ye will know concerning your fathers, and also the marvelous workswhich were wrought by the power of God among them.

10 And ye will also know that ye are a remnant of the seed of Jacob; therefore ye are numbered among the people of the first covenant; and if it so be that ye believe in Christ, and are baptized, fi rstwith water, then with fi re and with the Holy Ghost, following the example of our Savior, according to that which he hath commanded us, it shall be well with you in the day of judgment. Mormon 9:23And he that believeth and i s baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned;

thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willi ng to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath giventhem, that th ey may always have his Spiri t to be with them. Amen.

Be Converted/Turn to God2 Nephi 6:11Wherefore, after they are driven to and fro, for thus saith the angel, many shall be afflicted in the flesh, and shall not be suffered to perish, because of the prayers of the faithful; they shall be scattered,and smitten, and hated; nevertheless, the Lord will be merciful unto them, that when they shall come to th e knowledge of their Redeemer, t hey shall be gathered together again to the lands of their

inheritance.

Mosiah 7:33But ifye will turn to the Lord with f ull pur pose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will , according t o his own wil l and pl easure, deliver youout of bondage.

3 Nephi 9:13O all ye that are spared because ye were more righteous than they, will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?

3 Nephi 9:20And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite sp irit. And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spir it, him will I baptize with fir e and with the Hol yGhost, even as the Lamanites, because of their faith in me at the time of their conversion, were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and they knew it not.

Built on the Gospel

Helaman 5:12And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye mustbuild your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mightywinds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because ofthe rock upon which ye are buil t, which i s a sure foundation , a foundation wh ereon if men build they cannot fall .

3 Nephi 11:39

Verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my doctrine, and whoso buildeth upon t his buil deth upon my rock, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against them.3 Nephi 27:10And if it so be that the church is built u pon my gospel then will the Father show forth h is own works in it.

Charity

Moroni 7:47

But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; andwhoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.

Moroni 8:16Wo be unto them that shall pervert the ways of the Lord after this manner, for they shall perish except they repent. Behold, I speak with boldness, having authority from God; and I fear not what man

can do; forperfect love casteth out all fear.

Clean Hands and a Pure Heart

2 Nephi 25:16-17

And after they have been scattered, and the Lord God hath scourged them by other nations for the space of many generations,yea, even down from generation to generation until they shall bepersuaded to believe in Christ, the Son of God, and the atonement, which is infinite for all mankindand when that day shall come that they shall believe in Christ, and worship the Father in his name,with pu re hearts and clean hands, and look not forward any more for another Messiah, then, at that time, the day will come that it must needs be expedient that they should believe these things.17And th e Lord wil l set his hand again the second time to restore his people from their lost and fall en state. Wherefore, he will proceed to do a marvelous work and a wonder among th e children

of men.

And it came to pass that when my father had read and seen many great and marvelous things, he did exclaim many things unto the Lord; such as: Great and marvelous are thy works, O Lord God

Almighty! Thy throne is high in the heavens, and thy power, and goodness, and mercy are over all the inhabitants of the earth; and, because thou art merciful, thouwilt not suffer th ose who come untothee that they shall perish!

2 Nephi 28:32Wo be unto the Gentiles, saith the Lord God of Hosts! For notwithstanding I shall lengthen out mine arm unto them from day to d ay, they will deny me; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto them,

saith the Lord God, if they will repentand come unto me; for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts.

Omni 1:26And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye shouldcome unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto hi m, and offer

your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord l iveth ye wil l be saved.

Endure to the End

1 Nephi 22:31

Wherefore, ye need not suppose that I and my father are the only ones that have testified, and also taught them. Wherefore, if ye shall be obedient to the commandments, and endur e to the end, yeshall be saved at the last day. And thus it is. Amen.

2 Nephi 31:20

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love o f God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word ofChrist, andendure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal l if e.

Alma 38:2

And now, my son, I trust that I shall have great joy in you, because of your steadiness and your faithfulness unto God; foras you have commenced in your youth to look to the Lord your God, even so Ihope that you will continue in keeping his commandments; for blessed is he that endur eth to the end.

3 Nephi 15:9

Behold, I am the law, and the light. Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall l ive; for u nto him that endureth to the end will I give eternal li fe.

3 Nephi 27:16

And it shall come to pass, that whoso repenteth and is baptized in my name shall be filled; andif he endureth to the end, behold, him will I hold guil tless before my Fatherat that day when I shall

See that ye are not baptized unworthily; see that ye partake not of the sacrament of Christ unworthily; but see that ye do all things in worthiness, and do it in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the

Endure Trials

2 Nephi 9:18

But, behold, the righteous, the saints of the Holy One of Israel, they who have believed in the Holy One of Israel, they who have endured the crosses of the worl d, and despised the shame of it, they

shall inheri t the kingdom of God, which was prepared for them from the foundation of the world, and their j oy shall be full forever.

Alma 34:41

But that ye have patience, andbear with those affl ictions, with a fi rm hope that ye shall one day rest fr om all your aff li ctions.

Faith

1 Nephi 1:20

And when the Jews heard these things they were angry with him; yea, even as with the prophets of old, whom they had cast out, and stoned, and slain; and they also sought his life, that they might take

it away. But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you thatthe tender mercies of th e Lord ar e over al l t hose whom he hath chosen, because of t heir f aith, to make them mighty even unto the power of

deliverance.

Enos 1:15

Wherefore, I knowing that the Lord God was able to preserve our records, I cried unto him continually, for he had said unto me: Whatsoever thing ye shall ask in f aith, believing t hat ye shall receivein t he name of Chri st, ye shall r eceive it.

Mosiah 26:22-23

For behold, this is my church; whosoever is baptized shall be baptized unto repentance. And whomsoever ye receive shall beli eve in my name; and him wi ll I f reely forgive.

I say unto you, that I know of myself that whatsoever I shall say unto you, concerning that which is to come, is true; and I say unto you, that I know that Jesus Christ shall come, yea, the Son, the Only

Begotten of the Father, full of grace, and mercy, and truth. And behold, it is he that cometh to take away the sins of the worl d, yea, the sin s of every man who steadfastly beli eveth on h is name.

15 For behold, had the mighty works been shown unto them which have been shown unto you, yea, unto them who have dwindled in unb elief because of the traditions of their fathers, ye can see ofyourselves that they never would again have dwindled in unbelief.

16Therefore, saith the Lord: Iwill not utterly destroy them, but I will cause that in the day of my wisdom they shall return again unto me, saith the Lord.
