like to welcome all of our subscribers, old and new (or maybe we should say new and renewal) to another year of square dancing and the "Promenader". Reporters, you're doing a good job keeping us informed so now we can keep you all informed. (We're sorry EKC-0 for our 'blunder'. We hope things have straightened out this month,) j.----------------------------

Square dancing has so many facets! I can't think of any other hobby that has room for so much diversified talent. For example, leadership talent is used in club offices and committee chairpersons, sewing talent is used in making the squre dance clothes. Likewise, talent for art, hospitality, organizing, figuring, baking, (the list goes on and on) are all used in our club activities. So you say you have no abilities like that! Great! maybe you have one of the rarest abilities known to square dancers; one that square dancing depends on; the ability to volunteer! !

Go ahead. Jump in. Feet first. Have you ever volunteered for (not "roped into") a job and then regreted it? Think about that!

Oktoberfest! Did you go? Ve vent. Und it vas "wonder bar". Mit all dat drinking und singing my accent came back. The VlJn I got ven me und my Frau vent on a trip to Europe.

You vould never guess vot country. You're right, Chermany! Somebody must haf told you. Ya, da Fatterland. Und now I know vhy dey call it da Fatterland, because uf da delicious food everybody iss getting fatter und fatter.

Ve tried so hard to speak und understand da language dat I started to speak mit an accent. Alldough you can hardly notice it. Dey said don't drink da vater. I didn't. I drank the beer, und I almost got a hernia trying to lift da heavy steins.

Driving on da Autobahn to Berlin vas very exciting und confusining Da confusion came from da signs along da road, "Aus Fahrt", "Ein Fahrt", und "Gut Fahrt". From dis you vouldn't know vich vay to Fahrt! Soooo vonce you learn dat Aus Fahrt vas Exit und Ein Fahrt vas Entrence, und Gut Fahrt vas Good Journey, den it is easy to know vich vay to go .....

Und now ve vent to Munich the home of da Oktoberfest, In a large Beer Garten dey had a Cherman band vich vent "Ump pa pa" und dere vas many people round dancing. Dere vas no cueing, but about every fife minuets the leader uf da band vould shout "Hier Prosit" und everybody vould go back to dere tables, lift up large steins of beer tmd shout "Prosit". I suppose that meant stop the dance.

The only Square dancing vas at a NATO Army Post in Mannhein. Da caller vas supposed to be calling in English but some of the calls sounded like Cherman. To me

"CONGRATULATIONS ROCHESTER ROLLAWAYS"

Rochester Rollaways celebrate their 20th anniversary this year as an advanced level club. It all started on a cold, stormy Friday after Thahksgiving in 1958 at the Odd Fellows Hall on Gregory Street.

An unnamed square dance group met for the purpose of enjoying "more advanced dancing than was otherwise regularly available in the Rochester area".

The dancers (about 4 squares) and the caller,Don Duffin, were brought together through the efforts of Charlie Tucker and Tip Costich. The group continued to dance throughout the winter, moving its meeting place to the Barn in Henrietta. By spring the membership had grown to 7 or 8 squares.

The first officers were: Chairman------Charlie & Perkie Tucker Vice Chairman-Tip & Millie Costich Sec-treas-----Harris & Jean Hammond

In March the members voted upon a name for the new club. Some of the losing entries were: Happy Squares, Bar-Nuthin Squares, Saddle Burns and Barn Stampers.

Over the years Rollaways has had the usual ups and downs of most clubs.

Today, the Rollaways has between 4 and 5 squares of dancers and is known as a C-1 level club with a variety of callers.

We are proud to still have one couple from the original Rollaways, namely Hamilton and Betsy Stearns.

Our present officers are: Chairman .......... Bob & Jeannette Meagher Treasurer ......... Joe & Shirley Heit Secretary ......... Bill & Selma Bober

Congratulations! Rochester Rollaways. May you have many more years on the square dance scene.

Bob & Jeannette Meagher 3

sound like Cherman to me.

Soooo ve chained a set und started dancing, und choost like here ve all mixed up. The caller vas very nice about it. He stopped und valked us thru. Ve started dancing again und again our set got mixed up. Dis iss vere the caller payed me a compliment. He said in Gherman, "Dummkopf", vich probibly means Gut Dancer or something like dat. Und ven he repeated "Dummkopf" da second time, da entire set laughed und cheered. All callers should be dis friendly.

Vell, I tink dis is enough for now because dis accent iss hard on my voice. I tink I vill eat some saurkraut und soothe my throat.

Danke, anyway

O.K. so it wasn't the mailmans fault this time. Now that we have our P's and Q's in order and dates straight, like deadlines, we promise to be prompt from now on!

We have had a couple of dances with "Leapin' Larry" helping us trade in our summer sneakers for slippers and boots. Thought it was a short summer, but Larry made us realize our last dance was way back.

It was great to have Bob Higley dancing again, We missed you, Bob, in our set, for our corner and for an occasional "blush or two". No one does it better! We hear Ray Roth has recovered also and is back working and we look forward to seeing Ray and Marion dancing again soon.

Thanks for supporting our Cancer Dance, Clyde and Pat Spicer

We are well into another dance season and I am happy to report we have a bright class - reasonable size, too! Let's all get acquainted by helping Wed.

Every one had a grand time at the Fall Steak Roast on October 8th. Fun and exercise are common words for B N B's, Don and Mary Waterman are to be congratulated on a super job.

Autumn always brings lots of physical disorders, and many members are absent due to sickness and/or operations. To name a few: Walt Kuefer, Dorothy Heffer, John Butler and Kathy Harris. We sure hope to see them back with us soon.

Our sincere sympathy goes out to the family of Bob Wordingham. Mabel and Bob were in the Class of 1 66 with 'yours truley' and we shall miss his visits.

The club is still missing many vacationers, but our campers Dick Doyle, the Haddletons and Heindls, returned from 2 weeks on West Virginia, full of pep and fresh air.

Congratulations to Vera and John Sillick; grandparents one more time!!

Next month we will be selecting new officers, but we must say for the benifit of the entire club, that Bill and Marilyn have really excelled in their duties as President. We know Bill Walker works the J tricks, but few people realize that he, while on the B trick, took a half-day vacation time on Monday and Wednesday to enable him to be present for club and class dances, thus performing his Presidential duties to the fullest. They are both to be commended for a job well done. Few people would even consider such a thing. Thank~ both.

See you in a square, Betty & Chet Selbert

-open houses and our regular dances on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month at the Bayview "Y", On October 14th we had Chip Kellogg as our guest caller, but hardly an unfamiliar face to our club as Chip is,the Copy Cats' Class instructor. Halloween has come and gone with a good time had by everyone with Mike Callahan calling at the party.

We welcome two new members (couples) to our club -Robert and Kathy Crumrine of Rochester and Joe and Myra Kirkenaer of Webster. It is always nice to have couples want to join us. At the same time we are sorry to have lost Evelyn & Al Terry to the sunny south of Florida. The Orlando area square dance clubs have yet to realize the fantastic gain they have in the "whoops and hollers" of Al as the Terrys "circle the square". Their enthusiasm will be missed not only by the Copy Cats, but by so many of the clubs around as Al and Evelyn were well known by so many of our square dancing friends.

Under the humorous but extremely able leadership of Erv & Bea Ostertag, President, and Ray & Emma Schlesing, Vice-President our club looks forward to a full year of dances. November 11th will feature Jerry Carmen as guest caller and Thanksgiving Weekend, on Saturday November 25th, Mike Callahan, our regular club caller, will be back with US,

We love to have guests share our dancing fun in cozy, multicolored friendly hall of the Bayview "Y" on Bay Road across from Eastway Plaza; so come along. See you soon!

t EJ<C-0 Squqre, This year's class is well under way and it's been

encouraging to see the increase in tu:rnout from last year. We have three full squares plus a couple, compared with two squares in the previous class. This means three club couples are needed each week to fill out the third square.

Presidents Frank and Norma Salvagio have announced that if each couple in the club volunteered to dance with the class just once, we'd have enough angels to go around for the entire year. So be an angel and sign up for a date that's convenient.· The class meets Wednesdays at Kodak Office from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

Jim and Mary Davidson and Ken and Marcia Wishau are members of the nominating committee for this year's election of club officers. If you'd like to serve the club as an officer or know someone who might be available to serve, please notify the committee. (The positions open were listed in last month's Promenader.) Deadline for nominations is November 17,

Looking ahead, our club will be guests of the Country Twirlers on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Washington Irving School at, 8:30, Watch the bulletin board at our regular Friday night dances for other guest nights.

November and December, we are dancing at Kodak Park. Callers for this month are Ken Anderson Nov. 3, Ron Libby Nov. 10, Jerry Carman Nov. 17, NO DANCE Nov. 24.

Western Round and Square Dance Clubs, Inc. for making our club a part of them. Our club enjoys many square dancing activities. Ron Fotch teaches class 7-8:JO every Thrusday night. From 8:30 until 11:00, the club has been learning new calls and dancing the old ones.

October has been a busy month, At our Haloween party, we saw many odd characters doing "relay the deucy" as they "strolled and cycled" the dance floor. Our first "mystery ride" was an experience for all of us. Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. Let us remember

throughout the year all we have to be thankful for. See you in a square, Mike and Linda Zavadil

Do come and enjoy an evening of dancing, November 25th. It will be a combination dance with the Promenading B's, Glass Slippers and Country Swingers. The place is

We're really getting into the 'swing' of things here in Brockport. After having to sit out because of illness, Betty and Goerge Dunn are dancing again .. Joyce Tyner and Lorna and Arden Avery have become club members. We welcome them all.

Barbie Hurne and Laurie Lawreny planned a fun-filled Halloween party for us. The costumes were a sight. Unreal!

Kathy and Carl Lawrenz have a darling new little girl, Kristen. Mary Lou and Don Cotton are dancing grandma and grandpa. I think that makes all the rest of us aunts and uncles.

The Glass Slippers and our friends, the Country Swingers and the Promenading B's are sponsoring a special dance on Saturday, November 25, We all share Ron Fotch as our club caller. We'll be dancing at the North Chili CommUT1ity Center on Buffalo Road from 8:00 until 11:00 PM We'd like a lot of company for an evening of fine dancj_ng.

Don't forget to be an angel. Class runs from 7:00 until 8:JO PM on Wednesdays.

Have a wonderful thanksgiving. Keep on dancing. Elsie Epke

Our enthusiastic class members have been moving right along, learning the basics under Don Pratt, our excellent teacher and club caller.

Brisk fall days and the square dance pace quickens. Special dance themes abound as we 'arky allemand, boomerang and chase' our way into holiday time. Early this pumpkin season, on Wednesday November 9th, the Jack of Hearts will host a "Buddy-dance" to introduce Advanced dancing to those special people who wish to continue to increase their skills in square dancing by moving into the next level of calls and sampling the pleasures found in moving through the old and new square-dance figures using the All Position Concept. We invite the interested dancer to join us and the incomparable Ross Howell on the evening of November 9th. If you'd like to know a little more about this dance, call Sandy at 671-6.311 or Eileen at 271-3258,

Are you among those who've observed Advanced or Challenge dancers "at work" and feel ''they 're too serious" and not having a good time? Think agin. The seriousness is concentration and the enjoyment is inside. It may not be visibly expressed until the end of a tip when the square has successfully manoeuvered its way thru dozens of intreguing patterns. With one hi-level figure following another, the dancers move thru a particular arrangement of calls such as they may never have experienced before.Or may never again--as far as that particular sequence, that is. The dance patterns ebb and flow and are ever changing as the skillful caller creates new combinations and sequences of figures from the almost endless variety available in the All Position Concept. Here imagination, versatility, a computer-like mind and a mental bank full of equivalent, workable figures are among a caller's greatest assets. Of course the caller also must know

which calls "dance well" together so that body flow is smooth, and which calls fit the phrase of the music. Notice sometime, how unhurried the skilled dancer is as he moves with an economy of effort, in perfect time with the music. This is pure joy, as ANY dancer knows -whether it be waltz or disco, folk or contra, square or round-dancing, beginning or advanced level --whatever.

Well, you can see I'm hooked on this pastime and on its ever unfolding dance experience; I invite yoµ to join us .. , on the 9th of November to sample our wares on the 29th when Larry Dunn will be our visiting caller.

Gobble! Gobble! Thanksgiving is almost here already and it seems like summer just ended, With a nip in the air, dancing is back in full swing. Our class is doing just great with only about 6 lessons behind them.

With the cool weather, our thoughts are already with Betty and Bill Woodhall, who are on a wonderful trip to Hawaii and those sweet Hawaiian brezes.

Nell and Bill Burton attended the Flaming Leaves Festival at Lake Placid and enjoyed the colorful square dancing.

We welcome all our new members to Pioneers. May we have many happy dances together.

We are dancing every Tuesday in November so why not come over and dance with us as we would love to have you. See you in a square,

ROCHESTER, U. Singing Squa,e,

We have five nights of fun and dancing scheduled for November, November 1st is our Hallowe'en Party. You don't have to masquerade, but it is more fun if you do, There are prizes for costumes most original, best and funniest. There will be "tricks and treats"-the treats being cider and donuts-and you better watch out for those "tricks". Square dancing begins at 8 o'clock, when our caller, Al Howe, will arrive in his "pumpkin coach",

Al will also be at the "mike" November 15th when we celebrate our 2nd annual reunion. Last year it was a real "blast" and everyone said: "Let's do it again," So dig out that Singing Square badge and pin it on, for thai will be your admission ticket,

November 8th, 22nd and 29th will be Mike Callahan nights. We not only enjoy dancing to Mike, but look for ward to seeing those pictures of his handsome twin sons, So "Ye all come" to Thomas Edison School, 1612 Buffalo Road where there is good dancing from 8: 00 to 10: JO every Wednesday night.

We have a lively class of beginners this year. Their excellent instructor is Elwood Johnson. We really appreciate all the "angels" who come to help. Which reminds me of the story of the preacher who was hoping to get acquainted with one of the new members of the congregation, knocked on the front door of her home one evening, "Is that you, Angel?" came the woman's voice from within. "No" replied the minister, "but I 'm from the same department".

Here's hoping you "follow the yellow brick road" to "Singing Squares".

Hello everyone out there in funny clothes land! And speaking of funny clothes was that really Ken up there in front of the mike at our Halloween Party? What a huge success it was. Costumes were really great! And by the way, who or what was that square up front there "cutting up" so much? "You mean _that was Officers?" Well guess you know by now that fun was had by all.

There seems to be some confusion as to our Dance Level. It is Mainstream +1&2. On November 25, we are having a Turkey Dance, So be sure to come one and all.

We'll see vou Wednesdays at 7:00 with rounds by Linda Wolfe and squares at 8: 00 with Ken Boss up there calling.

COME JOIN THE FUN!

Byron-Bergen Elementary School 8:JO to 11 p.m.

Swinging Eight, This sure has been a busy beginning for our club,

with a dance each week since Pot Luck Supper - Hope all the feet held up.

Those 16 couples from Swingin' Eights sure had a swell time at the "Fling Fantastic" from all reports -W~nder what happened to Joyce Szatkowski in the hall? And Linda Allen's problem with her jeans?--How about it girls?

Jack and Mary Ann Joyce are back from their trip to England. Also Bets Knudson on her trip to the state of Washington •

Bud and Fran Macomber are on a trip to Texas to visi their son.

John Fenton is in the hospital at Genesse with a stroke. Also Dick Snow has been hospitalized at Genesee Cards might be appreciated, and hope they both are on the road to recovery.

Get ready to mark your calander with the following dates:

November 4th---Birthday Dance----anyone who has a Swingin' Eights badge from the past is cordially invited to wear it and attend our Birthday dance at Hosea Rogers School. Bruce Shaw and Mike Liberti will be there doing their best.

November 18th--Guest Caller--Ted Whitacre. Also this is the night for election of officers!

Happy square dancing, Curly & Terry Crane

Ptomenading 811

A group from our club has decided to tr~vel as a group and its first stop was Brockport at the Glass Slippers on October 11. SURPRISE! Look for us; we'll get to several clubs eventually.

Our Halloween Party was much fun. Every year there are a few outstanding costumes and this year's group had to work hard to pass the "cow" and "outhouses" of previous years.

November 17 is our 4th annual Turkey Dance. We've already reserved six turkeys so everybody start baking and we'll have our usual good time. I wonder if the Moon's will take home two turkeys again this year?? ! !

See you somewhere---Jean and. Nell

Swinging 88'1 Several Swinging BB's started out the month attend

ing Rochester Oktoberfest at the Hoffbrau House. A good time was had by all. Much of the entertainment was provided by our own table. There is rumor among the group that this will become an annual Swinging BB event.

October was an exciting month with our Gloria Roth dance on the 14th, It was a huge success, On the 28th we had our annual Halloween Party with several guests from the Spirit World attending. A frightful time was had by all.

Our class is coming along well, They are learning very quickly and we fear they will outdo us soon.

On November 11th we are holding our Men's Potluck Supper. The men never let us down as they prepare luscious main courses and desserts. The ladies wouldn't mind if they prepared every Potluck Supper. How about it, men?

The Babeck's new home is coming along well, and hope hopefully they will move in soon. Poor Gail, Bill and their three children have had to live in an apartment until their home is built.

Lucille Harrigan is doing well after some minor surgery. We are all glad she is back on her feet.

We at the Swinging BB's wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Keep on dancing, Jim & Rochelle Brunshidle

SSJ Swinging Singles The "Swinging Singles " gave a warm welcome back to

Tim Craig, who has returned from the sunny hills of West Virginia. Much to our delight, Tim will be resuming his duties as Past President.

Although we were sorry to learn that it had become necessary for Don Leister to resign as our president, we ~ffer a hearty congratulation to our newly elected president, Bob Plantz. We look forward to his leadership during the comming year and we offer our utmost support.

Our two "open houses" in September proved to be a great success and we welcome our new square dancers to be. Chip Kellogg is now busy teaching his new class a "weave the ring" and "grand square". . A great many thanks to Friendly's for again provid-ing carmel and strawberry sundaes topped with mounds of whipped cream which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Watch thoses calories, gals!

We look forward to our fall schedule which will include such activities as a picnic at the Naples Ontario County park, and a night of "horror" when those witches, spooks and ghosts come out of their closets once again.

Tecum1eh SquatBI Our class is doing very well. Hope all of you

continue to encourage your friends to continue with these fun lessons, It sounds like our round class is doing beautifully too! Tecumseh is really fortunate to have such capable instructors as Jack Sadwick and Bob and Nora S~omcenski. Thank them the next time you see them.

November sounds like an exciting month. Bruce will have a "All Singing Gall Nite" on November 7th. No workshops that nignt -- just fun! And then on November 21st we are privilaged to have with us again Syracuse's favorite caller, Dick Schweitzer. If you haven't danced to him, don't miss the treat! On both riights please come at 7:30, Tecumseh has an additional treat for you. Mike Liberti and Linda Wolfe will have a½ hour round dance workshop and Mike will cJntinue to cue rounds during the evening. They are both doing a terrific job and we at Tecumseh are proud to have them with us.

We have a new Indian child who lives here in the city. His sponsorship is needed because of his need for constant doctor and medical care. We'll give you more information later -- just keep contributing to- the 50/50 so we can continue with his support. REMEMBER: Nov. 7, -All singing calls night

"WELCOME"

See you, Ed and Sue

The Rochester Area Federation welcomes DIAMOND SQUARES and MORTON COUNTRY SWINGERS to membership.

Dick Schweitzer

Our picnic was very well attended, 26 families had a great time eating those delicious dishes and dancing in the unusual squares. The "KIDS" both young and old, had fun with the mixers and the line dances. Games for all - guest 'mummues' and the designer hats would be hits in any parade. We are looking forward to next years day at Hamlin.

We enjoyed the hospitality of the EKC-0 Squares. It was a fun night. Thanks for inviting us.

Graduation for our class will be Tuesday, November 14, when we will initiate our new friends who have been faithfully attending the class and learning all those do-si-does, etc.

Our guest night will be November 21. Hoping the Glass Slippers, EKC-0 Squares, Boots & Slippers and Country Twirlers will join in our fun. Rounds at 7:30 and squares at 8:00.

This is the month when we give thanks for all our blessings. For health and happiness, family and friends which include square dancers. Where else could you find a nicer group of people? A very happy Thanksgiving wish is sent to all by our club and its presidents, George and Geri Yuna, 106 Harbor View Hghts., Rochester, N,Y. 15612, Phone- 865-2926.

If you have any news to put into our column, please call George and Geri or our reporters.

Save New Years Eve for a great night of square dancing with the Triggers. More details will be in future issues.

Contra Corner

by Ed Butenhof

Contras were a featured part of the recent "Flaming Leaves" festival in Lake Placid, Not only were they done in seperate workshop and dance sessions, but they were also used between tips of squares as a break, As breaks, I thought they were very effective-- a chance to relax, a change of pace. It was impressive to me that nearly 100% of the floor participated in the contras at such times.

Contras were once pretty much localized in New England, but as a result of increased exposure at National Conventions as well as the efforts of traveling callers like Don Armstrong, groups are springing up all around the country. Some only do contras, some mix in with squares, with rounds or folk dances.

They are enjoyable any way you mix them as long as they retain their own special character. It is essential that they be done with the musical phrase. That means the timing is establi~hed by the music, not the caller. The caller, like a round dance cuer, is merely reminding you of the sequence,

Since the sequence (the choreography, if you will) is planned and polished in advance (again like rounds), it is smooth flowing, and has none of the awkward jerkiness that almost always results from a caller making up sequences on the spot combined with dancers trying to follow his unexpected directions. That combination of smooth, continuous flow done precisely with the musical phrase is what dancing is all about, and contras are dancing at its very best.

The Hilton Hillbillies are eyebrow deep in plans for their benefit dance on December 2nd featuring the calling of Jerry Carmen. Everything is on schedule especially the decorating committee, which is headed up by Karen Dorrance, The Evening promises to be a "Happening"!!!!!!!

We're all cheering the recovery of "John-Boy" Haines. The body cast he's been in all summer has finally been removed, and by the time you read this he'll be dancing again,

CALLERLAB has established a Grievance and Review Board as an aid in implementing its "Code of Ethics". This board has developed procedures for dealing with complaints concerning the professional conduct between CALLERLAB members, or between a non-member of CALLERLAB (caller or dancer) and a CALLERLAB member. The intent of this procedure is to provide a means of settling grievances on a professional level as quickly as possible.

A grievance is a complaint by a caller, group of callers, dancer, or group of dancers concerning the professional conduct of a CALLERLAB member. A complaint is not considered to be a greviance until attempts toward its solution have been made by one or more parties involved, without satisfaction to the aggrieved.

It should be emphasized thet the Grievance and Review Board will act only on a grievance which appears to be in violation of the CALLERLAB "Code of Ethics",

Anyone who feels that they have reason to avail themselves of this procedure may obtain additional information from the CALLERLAB Executive Secretary, Pocono Pines, PA. 18350

The theme dances have been a lot of fun and more are being planned, Some of the themes were "17-27', "Light My Fire" and "Big Foot".

The club dances on the 1st and Jrd Saturdays from 8 until 11 at the Parma Town Hall,

WHO IS YOUR PARTNER? by Johnny Hayes

Dancers often ask me after a tip, perhaps when a Partner Tag or Trade or Right & Left Thru from an Ocean Wave etc., has been called, "Who is, or was, my partner?"

During a patter tip your partner changes all the time, and your ability to identify positively who this is, in all positions, is vital to the flow and enjoyment of the dance, e.g. FACING LINES OF FOUR - Your partner is beside you. OCEAN WAVES - Your partner is the person facing the

same direction as you. DOUBLE PASS THRU - Your partner is the person on the

right. ALSO - Your partner is the girl you swing.

The girl you receive in a ladies chain, The girl with whom you start a Do Paso. The girl with whom you start a Right and Left

Grand. The girl you Promenade,

® The girl with whom you do a Right and Left Thru.

RULES FOR BANNER STEALING

Clubs wishing to take part in Banner Stealing, must register with the local Banner Stealing Association. Those clubs registering with the Association, must have a minature Banner (Traveling) that will be used for stealing. In order to steal a member clubs banner, the visiting (Stealing Club) club, must have no less than four couples (One Square), who have paid the guest fee at the host club. A Representative of the stealing club must then make it known to the President of,the Host Club that, they are attending the dance for the pur~ pose of stealing the host club's Banner. In the event that more than one club is in attendance for the purpose of stealing the host club's banner, then it will be the duty of the President of the Host Club to determine some fair way in which to determine which of two visiting (stealing) clubs will be awarded the banner. Once a club's banner has been stolen, that club may retrieve said banner by sending no less than four couples to the stealing club's dance and then they can take their banner back home. If a retrieving club also wishes to be eligible to steal the banner of their hosts, they must then have a second four coup-. les in order to be eligible. At no time can a member club, allow any other club to take a Banner belonging to another club. Also when a club steals a banner from a club, it is the receiving club's duty to safeguard at all times the banner they have stolen. If a banner has not been retrieved by the owning club within a reasonable period of tim~ (three months), the banner should be returned to the owning club. Banner Stealing shall be restricted to regular club dances only, and does not include any special dances
