PROJECT MANAGER This position serves as the senior project engineer, will oversee approximately eight staff, including senior engineers, and work on the most complex projects requiring little to no supervision. The Project Manager is the designated client point of contact and responsible for all phases of the project design, and typically reports to the Principal Engineer and operates with a wide degree of latitude and autonomy.

ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER This position serves as the senior project engineer, will oversee approximately four staff, is the designated client point of contact, works on all phases of the project design, and typically reports to the Principal Engineer. While this position has a wide range of latitude and autonomy, it is an associate position which usually requires more supervision and mentoring.

TECHNICAL:•Plan, design and direct civil

engineering projects.•Complete specialized and

highly technical civil engineering projects.

•Oversee control of work-in-progress, ensure accurate client billing, monitor and collect outstanding receivables.

•Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photos related to soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.

•Prepare and directs preparation and modification of reports, plans, specifications, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, designs, etc.

•Develop and manage engineering contracts and related administration.

•Prepare and forecast workload, assign staff and oversee the scheduling and timely completion of projects.

•Prepare and monitor project budgets, and be the key individual responsible for profitability of projects.

•Develop probable construction cost estimates for projects.

•Coordinate, schedule and attend all client project meetings (day/evening).

•Regularly visit and monitor construction sites regularly.

LEADERSHIP & COMMUNICATION:•Direct multi-disciplinary

consultant teams and personnel.•Direct and supervise other

engineer’s activities and oversee the work of design technicians.

•Work with interdepartmental teams leading specialized and complex projects.

•Supervise and monitor client relations.

•Continuously learn and develop self and team to continue effectively serve as a major firm resource and technical expert.

PREFERRED/HIGHLY DESIRABLE FOR BOTH POSITIONS:

Certified licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California, or other state with the ability to get a California PE within an agreed upon timeframe.

PROJECT MANAGER:

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.

•Ideally, eight years of land development, with boots-on-the ground project management experience overseeing complex private and public civil engineering projects.

•Knowledgeable of Auto CAD and Civil 3D.

•Valid California driver’s license by time of hire.

ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER:•Bachelor’s degree in engineering,

construction management, or related field from an accredited four-years college or university.

•Ideally, five years of land development, with boots-on-the ground project management experience overseeing complex private and public civil engineering projects.

•Knowledgeable of Auto CAD and Civil 3D.

•Valid California driver’s license by time of hire.
