Project Description

A digital short is a short film designed primarily for viral distribution on online networks. The subjects, themes, and forms of digital shorts are unlimited. Some filmmakers use them for comedy, others to express thoughts or opinions, and still others to present news or information. Digital shorts allow amateur filmmakers to experiment with filmmaking in a quick and easy format. In this project, you will create a digital short based on a theme or subject of your choosing. Take advantage of the great flexibility of this genre of film to creatively express yourself. Project Resources

Your digital short should adhere to the following requirements:

1. Be 3–4 minutes in length. 2. Use one or more advanced techniques or effects from the following

list. 3. Be in a web-compatible format. (Note that copyright laws restrict

Digital Shorts In this project, you are challenged to create a digital short like those that you see on Saturday Night Live or YouTube. You will use advanced techniques in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to add special effects to your digital short.
