The seed treatment with Imidacloprid 70 WS @ 3 g/kg seed and sprayed + NSKE @ 5 % at 45 DAE (T3). Field evaluation of NBAII entomopathogenic strains against sugarcane stem borer, Chilo partellus (Swinhoe) in Kharif sorghum
Inter-institutional collaboration
Three entomofungal formulations of Metarrhizium anisopliae and Beauveria bassiana were evaluated for their efficacy against C. partellus.
The entomo-fungal formulations of
Metarrhizium, Ma 35, 36 and 52 were effective against the spotted stem borer, causing 48.6 %, 51.4 % reduction in deadhearts
Ma 35 and Ma 36 caused significant
increase in grain yield (4.16 and 4.25 kg/ plot), respectively as compared to control (2.85 kg/plot).
Formulations were comparable, with
carbofuran, indicating the scope of integration of these formulation in IPM
