Already Time toStart Planningfor the Spring!
Passport Students & Families,
You are almost at the halfway point of your first semester in college can you
believe it? We know you are all busy preparing for midterms and anxiously
awaiting Fall Break (October 10th & 11). It was great to catch up with so many
of you at each campus with our Donut Dropin's. We will continue to host these
Dropin's every month for the duration of your first year. Additionally, October
means it's time to starting thinking about your spring semester. We will hold
mandatory advising sessions for Passport students later this month to discuss
your spring registration process. It'll be a great way for us to catch up with you
and help you stay on track for your fall 2017 transfer to UNC Charlotte!
This October edition contains
information on our upcoming
Passport advising sessions
for spring 2017. We also
invite you to attend some
upcoming events happening
this month at CPCC and UNC
Charlotte. And finally, our
major spotlight this month is
the growing field of
Construction Management
which combines engineering
and construction practices
with a business core
curriculum.
See you soon!

Major Spotlight: Construction Management
Construction Management is a growing field that is ideal if you’re interested in
building and designing. The Bachelor of Science in Construction
Management degree prepares students for entry into the residential and
commercial construction industry. Students in this program pursue careers in
various fields even beyond construction management such as real estate and
land development, building code enforcement, infrastructure development,
and more. The program combines construction and engineering principles
with a business/management core in the areas of management, accounting,
economics, business law, and finance. This is a great program to consider if
you are also considering engineering or architecture.
