About Pro-Fix...

Pro-Fix Steel Fixing Services Ltd, was established in 2008 by directors Phil Syers and Stuart Ward.

Both directors had extensive experience in steel fixing and decided to merge together and venture into the construction industry as independent contractors.

Since there first contract, A relatively small bund tank, the company has grown from strength to strength. Their expertise has now been demanded on many high profile projects throughout the

United Kingdom, and this growth has come through to “word of mouth” due to quality, safe and professional steel fixing practices.

Pro-Fix now have over 180 experienced steel fixers on their books, all of which are trained to a minimum of NVQ level 2 and all hold valid CSCS safety cards, We also have a national data base of over 4000 for

labour supply.

Health and Safety

Health and safety in construction nowadays is of paramount importance.

Pro-fix ensure that the health, safety and well being of anyone within their reach whilst undertaking work is of upmost importance to them

Pro-Fix work with Paul Tootle Health and Safety Ltd to keep them up to date with all aspects of health and safety.

Pro-Fix are committed to training, and now all employees hold an NVQ 2 in steel fixing, and a valid CSCS card due to liaising with construction skills.

With the above now a minimum requirement to gain employment with Pro-Fix, a majority of their steel fixers hold various other safety qualifications e.g. abrasive wheels, pasma scaffolding, confined spaces to name a few.

Whilst both directors are still active foreman/ supervisors, all other supervisors now hold valid SSSTS (site supervisor safety training scheme) certificates.

Saica papermill, Partington, Manchester.

Pro-Fix completed this massive new build from start to finish on time and fixed over 3500 tonnes of reinforcement.

Coundon, Coventry underground reservoir.

A 60 metre by 30 metre RC reservoir completed in October 2011.

Barhale Radius shaft bases

Pro-fix completed 4 radius shafts on Barhale ltd projects for indepth civil engineering ltd throughout Yorkshire.

Murphys LAM 03 bridge project (St Helens and Liverpool).

Pro-fix completed 4 bridges for Murphys ltd in the St Helens and Liverpool area, all of which were completed on time.

Project Revolution, Warmingham, Cheshire.

Pro-fix supplied steel fixers and formwork joiners for this major underground gas storage project in Cheshire which was completed in July 2012.

Murphy LAM 03 bridge project (Manchester)

Pro-fix completed 2 bridges for Murphys LAM 03 Bridge project in Manchester.

Hale church refurbishment

Pro-fix supplied steel fixers, formwork joiners and concrete finishers to this refurbishment of a large church in Hale, Cheshire.


Iggisund paper board, Workington, Cumbria.

Pro-Fix completed this massive 2 year project in December 2012 which contained over 2500 tonnes of reinforcement.

Jaguar plant access from M54 bridge construction Pro-fix were working in partnership with GCL contractors ltd on the construction of this jaguar plant access bridge off junction 2 of the M54 Telford, Balfour Beatty are the principle contractor (Completed January 2013)


Heysham sub station

Pro-fix were successful in winning the steel fixing on the Morrison Utility Services site at Heysham in Lancashire.

Pro-fix were sub-contracting to GPL civil engineering ltd on this 12 month contract.

Cotebrook balancing tanks refurbishments – Pro-fix completed this 18 month contract with Coffey construction ltd in which two 50 metre square reservoirs were refurbished with new R.C walls, slabs, columns and roof slab.

North Wales Amp5 UID programme Heswall shellfish waters directive

Pro-fix was awarded this Costain project via Everhall ltd.


HMP Peterhead, Scotland

Pro-fix completed this large scale extension of HMP Peterhead in Scotland in December 2012, where new wings and sports facilities are being constructed.

Murphys PBN bridges project

Pro-fix have completed many bridges to date as part of the Murphys PBN project around the Preston area.

Chorley CSO

Pro-fix started on this large CSO in Chorley, Lancashire in October 2012, the project to consisted of a large piled ring beam, base, walls and columns.

Welshpool – Large Tank

Pro-fix are currently 2 months into this large rectangular tank construction, working along side Offa-Fix formwork Ltd, the main contractor being Shephard Construction Ltd.


Pro-fix are now currently working on many GCA projects throughout the country, the client being United Utilities.

Salford WWTW – Humus tank

Other GCA/ United Utilities jobs currently being constructed by Pro-Fix are;

Pro-Fix are now sub contracting to SCC Ltd, and were involved in all of their current contracts throughout the country.

First Street, Manchester – A massive regeneration project where Pro-fix are fixing the rebar on a 4 star Hotel and a multi storey car park.

Chamberlain Hall, Birmingham – A residential apartment block for the university.

Park Square, Ashton under lyne MSCP – Pro-fix completed this multi storey car park on Park Square business estate.

Grafton Street, Manchester – Pro-Fix fixed all the rebar to this multi story car park in Manchester.

Hilton Hotel, Leeds – Pro-Fix fixed the rebar to this new build Hilton hotel in Leeds.

SCC Precast yard, Reddish – Pro-Fix are supplying labour for SCC ltd`s pre cast yard in Reddish, where the pre cast R.C structures for all their nationwide contracts are being made.

Grange service reservoir,West Kikby - Pro-Fix are now 3 months into this large underground water storage reservoir for Coffey Construction.

Kirby Waste RTLS – A Large refurb of a waste disposal site where two 40m x 18m Pits were constructed, working along side GCL Contractors and Galliford Try. 500 tonne plus

Burbo Bank wind farm substation, St Asaph – Pro-fix fixed the rebar to this large construction of a substation in St Asaph. 500 – 600 tonne.

Surf Snowdonia, Wales – Pro-Fix fixed the rebar to this exciting new man made surfing facility in Dolgarrog in Wales. 200 tonne.

Trafford Park, Manchester – Pro-fix fixed fixed the shafts and tunnels for this large Balfour Beatty/United Utilities contract in Trafford. 500 tonne.

Allerton Rail Depot – Pro-fix fixed the rebar to this large rail shed refurb, which a 60m x 30m new slab was constructed. 200 tonne

Castlefield Bridge, Manchester – Pro-fix fixed the rebar to this new bridge in the Castlefield area in Manchester. 200 tonne.

Stanlow, Ellesmere Port – Pro-fix fixed the construction of a large new facility at Stanlow power plant in Ellesmere Port. Over 30,000 M2 of mesh was laid plus rebar.
