About Us:
The Bureau of Engineer Mohammad Shehab, abbreviated herein‐after as (SEB)
is a Lebanese Consulting Engineering office registered in accordance with law
No. 636 related to regulating the profession of engineering in the republic of
Lebanon.
Registration number in the order of engineers in Lebanon: 6433.
Registration number in the Ministry of finance: 2495830.

Brief Background:
The Bureau was founded in Beirut, Lebanon, in March 2011, by engineer Mohammad Shehab.
Mr. Shehab is a Civil Engineer specialized in the Transportation design field. He has worked in this domain for almost 29 years, employed with several consulting firms, specifically: "Khatib and Alami", "ACE" and "Jouzy& Partners".
During his employment period, he has gained extensive experience in the design of roads, infrastructures and airports, supervision as well as project Management and as listed forward in this portfolio.

The Bureau provides engineering consulting services, design and supervision,in
the transportation, bridges and infrastructure fields.
In addition, SEB provide services in building design and all associated services.

Geotechnical Services:
Geotechnical investigation: preparation of scope (drilling, in situ and lab
tests), interpretation of results and supervision of works.
Foundation design: evaluation of soil parameters, design of deep
foundations (piles) and shallow foundations (bearing capacity and
settlements).
Shoring and retaining system: design of retaining walls, pile walls, sheet
pile walls, etc. including anchors, nails, bolts and shotcrete.
Slope stability: design of safe cuts and fill slopes, preparation of
protection measures, specifications of materials and earthworks
execution. In addition, rock cut stabilization and landslide treatment are
within our capabilities.
Ground improvement: improvement of weak soils (soft clays, loose
sands, sabkha) using for example grouting, compaction,….; as well as
preparation of specifications.
Dewatering: Design of dewatering systems and evaluation of site
conditions.

Geophysics: proficiency in geophysical survey methods (such as GPR,
ERT, seismic refraction and reflection, ultrasonic, etc.) and that is for the
purpose of ground conditions exploration bedrock level, cavities, water
level), corrosiveness of soils, etc.
Materials: evaluation of construction materials (aggregates, fills), cement and concrete mixes (admixtures, cement type, additives, etc.), asphalt, steel, etc.

Applicable Software:
Our engineering approach uses the latest computer aided design, engineering
and analysis computer packages to provide the most reliable, efficient and
accurate analysis and design production.
SEB specialist exhibit extensive knowledge and experience in the use of such

Scope of Work The study of both projects aimed at providing the appropriate openings with adequate capacity capable to carry the estimated discharge without causing any damages to the road body taking into consideration the scour analysis and minimum clearance as recommended by the MOT in the Kingdom. The hydrological study was based on the data collected from the topographic maps of scale 1:50,000 for KSA, rainfall data, topography of the terrain, soil condition, and land use which are significant parameters that affect the runoff and peak discharge.

Scope of Work A Dual divided highway that links Lattakia to Ariha, midway point toward Allepo city, the project is 99Km long with service roads on both sides, some 14 interchanges were constructed to provide proper connections with the villages served by the highway. the project incorporates the construction of around 150 crossing structures of different types. The involved role is to prepare the highway design and to arrange for the
coordination and support during construction.

Scope of Work: Upgrading of both Airports to accommodate the wide‐body code E aircraft B747 and B777. The objective was to prepare the preliminary and final geometric design of

Cocody ‐ Cola Expressway ‐ Lebanon
1994
Scope of Work:
A portion of Beirut Southern Entrance
Ring Road representing 24 km of a
multilane‐divided highway with complete
access control.
The Cocody‐Cola project has a total
length of 4kms The works comprised the
design and construction supervision of
the Urban Freeway linking Beirut Central
District to the Airport. The works
included the following items:
‐ Divided highway of 4 lanes of 14.00 m
width and an emergency parking lane of
2m width in each direction
‐ 2‐lanes service road and side parking
lane in each direction.
‐ All roadway works, such as pavement,
sidewalks, curbstones, signing.
Role:
The role was to study and prepare the works related to geometric design of roadways
and coordination with the various related disciplines.

Scope of work :
The redesign of storm water channels around 28 building (reservoirs, pumping stations
and filing stations) Related to the project of SHUQAIQ phase2 – WTS.
The hydrological study was based on the data collected from the topographic maps of

The design of an Interchange linking Ramadi City, in Al Anbar Province, with Baghdad‐
Amman expressway.

Upgrading of Sheikh jaber Ahmad Sabah Expressway
Riyadh ‐ KSA
Client : SETS Project Scope Road and Storm Design works
End Client : Ministry of Transport Works Construction. cost: USD40.0 millions
Scope of work :
The design of Sheikh Jaber road Upgrade Expressway, which will constitute a portion of Riyadh 2nd Ring Road, 2X4
Dual carriageway road, with a median of 20m separating median reserved for South‐North Railway.
The project constitutes of the geometric design and storm‐water drainage of the 7Km long expressway and
adjacent service roads, in addition to 5 interchanges starting from the crossing Bandar bin Sultan road and
terminating at the existing Dammam Expressway.
