K.C.S.KasiNadar College of Arts & Science blossomed in the name of thephilanthropist Thiru.K.C.S.KasiNadar. The college offers

education to the societyregardless of race, caste, socio-economic class and gender under the stewardship ofSennaiyilullaVirudhunagar

Hindu Nadars’ Abiviruthi Dharma Fund. The collegewas established in 1999 and it operates with a clear vision and mission and

resolvesto incorporate all the suggestions put forward by the Management to upgrade theinstitution and work for the holistic

development of the students.

The Vision of the College is to emerge as an institute of excellence byimparting quality education based on values and discipline to

the poor, theneedy and the under privileged.

The Mission of the College is to impart quality education to all, especiallyto the first generation learners and the under privileged, by

helping themexcel their knowledge, become employable and lead a life with character,culture, compassion and discipline.

In line with the motto of the college ‘Excel your knowledge’ the college looks ahead in search of new avenues to discover hidden

treasures.

The college strives to add new dimensions and aims at the improvement of student’s proficiency. Under the support of a visionary

management and able guidance of the Heads of Departments, faculty members, the college hosts several activities on specific areas

relevant to the current scenario, to equip the students with acumen, insight, communication and other analytical skills.

The college has executed a spectrum of activities for enhancing the academicexcellence of the students. The Management supports all

the stakeholders and showsits strong commitment to provide quality education and services by conscientiouslyevaluating existing

The college feels proud in educating the economically backward sections of society by transforming them into first generation

graduates and socially responsible citizens. The Principal along with the staff of the college resolve to maintain the standards of

education and work for

the betterment of all the stakeholders.

The success of the college lies in the team effort put in by the dedicated staff and students. The college endeavours to equip the

students with skills needed to thrive in a globalised and competitive world.

With the overwhelming support of our Patron, Office Bearers of our CollegeManagement Committee, Board members and our faculty,

together we do yeomanservice to society moulding young minds and transforming every student who entersits portals into responsible

youngsters.

The college is affiliated to the University of Madras.The syllabus given by the University of Madras is carried out in a plannedway.

The institution develops and deploys action plans for effectiveimplementation of the curriculum. Ours is a pace-setting college of

academic excellence and focuses on

education and discipline.The college offers computer training to the non computer students.

Tally course is offered to the interested students. Audio visual aids and modern teaching devices are widely used by thefaculty.

Training programmes on personality development, soft skills, aptitudetests, interview techniques and group discussions are arranged

usinginstitutional and external expertise to the students.

Bridge course in English is conducted for Tamil Medium students of I yearfor 15 days on basics of English. Bridge course in

Mathematics isconducted for 15 days, for students of I year who required additionalguidance in Mathematics.

Alumni of the college, who are placed in reputed organisations, visit the college for guest lectures and for campus recruitments.

The college has various MoUs with reputed organisationslike NIIT, Mahindra Pride School and Vinobha IAS academy, for the

purpose of soft skills development,placement trainingand civil service exams.

Staff members are members of the academic council of the University of Madras and attend the meetings with involvement in

academic discussions.

The senior staff members are part of the College Governing Council and interact with the University Representative during the

Governing Council Meeting, contributing to academic development.

Placement commitee helps in students’ enrichment on career and placement advancement.

Motivation classes, counselling sessions, seminars, guest lectures, workshops, conferences, industrial visit, outreach programmes and

sports activities are conducted by the college in response to the feedback from the management.

ISO Audit Bureau conducts Academic Audit every year to monitor the developments that acknowledge the standard of the College.

IQAC Internal Audit is conducted every semester.

The college ensures that the N.S.S., Y.R.C. and R.R.C. activities are aimed at instilling discipline, building character and development

of culture. Extension activities like blood donation camps, cleanliness drive, and other awareness programmes make students realise

the value of life and understand their responsibilities as good citizens. These activities mould the students as builders of tomorrow’s

society.

Blood donation camps, medical camps, tree plantation programmes and various other community services are offered by these units.

Eco club envisages to protect and promote the shades of green. The college Eco club conducts campus cleaning programme on ‘Clean

and Green campus’.

Membership in ICT Academy contributes to train the faculty which can be transmitted to the students.

The college has language laboratory helps to improve the basic skills of English.

The library has INFLIBNET N-List programme for the e-library with e-journals and e-books are available to feed their knowledge.
