Dr. Smt. G. THAMARAISELVI, M.Sc. (Maths), M.L.I.S., Ph.D.(LIS), the Head

Librarian of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli – 620015, Tamil Nadu, has been

rendered 36 years of commendable Academic Information Service to the user society as

Librarian and she is an outstanding International scholar bringing all fame and honours to India

by her research contributions in her discipline especially by her unique Ph.D. research

contribution and like. She has presented and published more than100 research articles and

papers in reputed International Journals and conferences. She has published a Book entitled

“Role of ICTs In Library and Information Science” during 2005. It is note-worthy to point

Women Researcher Award by IOSRD, NewDelhi. Her research paper won the Second prize

of the International paper Contest conducted by the American society of Information

Science & Technology in the year 2004 and Best research paper award in the 6th

International Conference of GSTF held at Singapore. She is rendering her services to the

by her to the faculty and students of different disciplines regarding usage of E-resources are all

of high value and appreciated by our superiors. She has good experience in Digital Library E-

Journal access & linkage and number of innovative software in the realm of Information Science

which has been internationally rewarded and she is disseminating the same to the betterment of

the users of NITT. The awareness programmes to students rendered by her, make them all

She has published a Book on “Information and Communication technologies in

Information science”. Many Chapters in various Information science Books, research

articles in reputed national and international journals are contributed by her on requests.

She has presented more than 100 research papers which are worthy ones of high resource

to the fellow researchers and users could find a number of citations from many academic

contributions. It is noteworthy to point out that her research paper won the Second prize of the

Technology in the year 2004 and she has participated and presented research papers in the
