The Dar es salaam Institute Technology Company Limited is an engineering company based at Dar es Salaam. The Company was established in 2010 and it has been working in close collaboration with Institute ConsultancyBureau of Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology. In 2017 the Company was officially registered and starts coordinating the use of the expertise and other resources to contribute effectively to the industrial and socio- economic development of the nation.

The company is a truly multi - Disciplinalengineering company working across the markets on construction and maintenance of civil, electrical, electronics and telecommunication, laboratory technology, mechanical, computer and industrial works. The Company is an implementing agency of Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) .The Company engages itself in various professional activities in all engineering works.

Specifically the Company will

i) Promote and administer the implementation of consultancy policies and procedures for all commercial activities in the Institute that fall under its jurisdictionii) Enable the Institute generate funds to subsidise grants from the government and other donors for the Institute to meet its financial needsiii) Enable the staff in DIT to supplement their income thus enhancing staff retentioniv) Optimize the use of DIT expertise and resources to solve societal engineering, technology and other related problemsv) Provide means for academic and other DIT staff to gain professional experience that shall be transferred to students and thereby improve quality of outputsvi) Make available DIT training facilities to the general public through short term and medium term courses for the purpose of ensuring that engineers keep abreast with the rapidly advancing technologyvii) Acquire knowledge on new developments and needs in the trade and adjust curriculum accordinglyviii ) Provide expert technical support to existing industrial operations and to facilitate developments of new industriesix) Facilitate establishment and enhancement of contacts and relations between DIT staff and industriesx) Provide a platform through which DIT staff can transfer their knowledge and skills to industry, and Assist DIT staff to develop competencies in soliciting for jobs and in preparing winning proposals for consultancies and servicesxi) Provide ICT solutionxii) Provide quality supervision of worksxiii) Coordination and promotion of expatriate works from departmentsxiv) Encourage departmental innovation

Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology Company Limited has a team of Engineer and technician whose experience spans over 20 years and which has been put to use both within and outside the country.

Nearly 200 employees of different disciplines are available from DIT main campus for Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology Company Limited to employ and works with in different multidiscipline pone project. And the number is expected to increase due to expansion of DIT sub campus Mwanza and Myunga.

Though many expert staff are allowed to participate in research, consultancies and community services.

Moreover during higher learning exhibition in year 2017, the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology was trusted by Government and was instructed to perform specialized Tasks within the Country.

The project was aimed at Designing, Implementing, Installation and Training End users of Call Centre. This system was intended to serve 400,000 customers in Dar es Salaam and Coast regions who have equal chance of calling.

2. Ministry of Information, Culture and Sports

Design and Implementation of a File Tracking System for the Ministry of Information, Culture and Sports

The project was aimed at Designing, Implementation, Installation and Training End users of File Tracking Software. This system was intended to provide file movements services over a Local Area Network (LAN) as well as over a Wide Area Network (WAN).

Installation of Fiber Optic Networking at the College of Business Education (CBE)-Dar es Salaam and Dodoma Campuses

Establishment of Ijangala mini- hydropower

Feasibility study on establishment of Ijangala mini- hydropower project and electrification of villages in Makete district was carried out. The project was undertaken by Civil and Electrical Engineering experts. The project started in 2011 and is completed.

Inspection of electrical system at Posta House building by Electrical Engineering experts was carried out and completed in Feb. 2013.

installation Feasibility study and Generator installation at NECTA Dar es Salaam by Electrical Engineering experts were carried out and completed in 2012

9. DUWASA Dodoma Alternative Power Supply

Study for alternative Power Supply at DUWASA Dodoma first phase was undertaken by Electrical Engineering experts and is completed.

This project of installations of 11 electrical lab machines at AMCET AL-MAKTOUM COLLEGE was undertaken by Electrical Engineering experts and was completed in 2012.

12. ERB Investigation of the 16-storeys collapsed Building

The assignment was given by ERB to carry out the investigation of the 16 storeys which collapsed at the city centre in Dar es salaam.
