ABSTRACT: Despite the fact that dental surgery and implant placement procedures have evolved tremendously over the last decade, the knowledge and understanding of the anatomical structures encountered during live surgery is not really so much increased. During this presentation we will try to analyse the main risk factors and the most anatomical details in order to give to our everyday surgery an increased skill. Moreover, we will face with some of the main topics about the piezosurgery, like the scientific method on which the piezosurgery is based on, which are the potential applications and the future borders and the histological evidences. We have to understand why piezosurgery is not a dedicated device to ad-vanced surgery. During the hands-on everyone will apply the piezosurgery concepts and we will properly feel the advantages given by this new technique.
