• However, your employer begin to see your performance either good or bad. Employer will be happy to see you as new professional employee, because your great professionalism.
What Is professionalism?• The competence or skill expected
of a professional. The key to quality and efficiency isprofessionalism• the conduct, aims, or qualities
that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person.
Con't• There is much more to being a professional than
simply acquiring the best training and skills. • Becoming an expert in your field is only one part
of earning the respect of clients and colleagues. • A large part of achieving recognition as a
professional has to do with the way that you present yourself to others.
• It is a mindset that becomes easier to apply as you progress further and becomes an inspiration for others to follow.
Five important keys to being a true professional
1. Character2. Attitude3. Excellence4. Competency5. Conduct
10 Ways To Be Professional at Work1. Competence. You’re good at what you do and you have the skills and knowledge that enable you to do your job well.2. Reliability. People can depend on you to show up on time, submit your work when it’s supposed to be ready, etc.3. Honesty. You tell the truth and are upfront (sincere) about where things stand.4. Integrity. You are known for your consistent principles.5. Respect For Others. Treating all people as if they mattered is part of your approach.
Con't• 6. Self-Upgrading. Rather than letting your skills or
knowledge become outdated, you seek out ways of staying current.7. Being Positive. No one likes a constant pessimist. Having an upbeat attitude and trying to be a problem-solver makes a big difference.8. Supporting Others. You share the spotlight with colleagues, take time to show others how to do things properly, and lend an ear when necessary.9. Staying Work-Focused. Not letting your private life needlessly have an impact on your job, and not spending time at work attending to personal matters.10. Listening Carefully. People want to be heard, so you give people a chance to explain their ideas properly.
Professional & Ethical Behavior in the Workplace
Professionalism and ethical behavior in theworkplace can benefit your career and improve your working environment. • Meetings• Communication• Time Management• Employee Safety
Causes of lack of professionalism
• There are many causes of lack of professionalism, one among them is missing motivation.• This is the time to discuss
together about MOTIVATION.
MotivationMotivation people is about getting them
to move in the direction you want them to go in order to achieve the result.
Motivating yourself is about setting the direction independently and then a course of action which will ensure that you get there and they expect to lead to the attainment of the goal
Two types of Motivation at workers
• Hygiene factors: related to the environment and condition of job•Motivators factors: motivating
toward superior performance and passively affecting job satisfaction
Motivation at work can take two ways
• First, people can motivate themselves by seeking, finding and carrying out work that satisfies their needs or lead them to expect to achieve their goals• Secondly, people can be motivated
by management through payment, promotion, praise, etc
Way to be self motivated at work• Partnership Working:- Asking what you do not understand- Create relationship/Friendship- Respect your supervisor- Etc• Do all requirements of your Supervisor:- Good respond - Meet deadline- Respect the timeline- Be organized- Etc
To be organized, Eg. Best Filing
Don’t do the belong things:
• Do not ask motivation if: Your performance is low, you did want to improve your skills etc.
Here remember that time you were hired to your current job, it was no motivation though. You were only want to have self motivation
Normally if the productivity the employer must motivate their employees in order to stimulate them for next.
Example: Do not ask motivation if the service remains the same before.
