As electronic devices gradually develop to large-capacity, high-density and

high integration, the power consumption of veneer is gradually developing from

less than 70W to more than 150W and air-cooling technology can not meet the

requirements. Liquid cooling technology has become the preferable choice of next

generation high-tech electronics cooling device.

Application in computer room

Following pictures are a kind of IBM liquid cooling solution in computer room, the chassis

using integral liquid cooling method, each server also using liquid cooling method through the

pipelines connection to the chassis cooling system, good expansion, adding new server only

need adding new pipeline connecting to the main pipeline.

The size of super computer is very big( normally consists of hundreds blade

servers ), so the heat dissipation is very high, single chassis heat dissipation exceed

25KW. In project of Chinese Academy of Sciences network center, WeiTu provided the

liquid cooling air-conditioner solution, operation cabinet and liquid air-conditioner placed

alternately, each air-conditioner can provide 30KW heat dissipation capacity. This solution

was widely used in the 170 pieces “TianHe-2” super computer project.
