Professional collections catalogue Update: July 2018

Editorial coverage of collections

Professional publications have been built up to give more visibility and to promote Humanity & Inclusion’s know-how and technical expertise. They therefore formalize an expertise, and guide teams in their professional practices. So, in order to gather publications in a global project of knowledge sharing, ten collections were created:

1. Institutional policy: To specify the main principles and guidelines of the Humanity & Inclusion (HI) Federation regarding its professional, sectorial and ethical practices.

2. Institutional directive: To set out the operational modalities needed to implement institutional policies, elements of the 2016-2025 strategy or positioning.

3. Policy papers: To define and circumscribe operational action frameworks of a specific expertise (sector for example).

4. Guidance notes: To define and circumscribe the general framework and operational guidelines of cross-sector themes or “young” sectors”.

5. Practical guide: To specify the methods and tools to be used in implementing an approach, a sector, a policy, etc.

6. Lessons learned: To share HI’s know-how, experience and good practices.

7. Research and studies: To share results of a research or a study on clearly defined issues, including innovation.

8. Project evaluation: To analyze practices and to improve the quality of interventions.

9. Educational resources: To promote self-study on a theme declined in its various components.

10. Wide angle: To enlighten a subject, a practice, a theme by synthesizing the different points of view (internal and external) on the issue.

A specific format for field’s publications

For some of these collections, a format "From projects" promotes publications from the field. The contents are contextualized, in direct relation with the experiences and know-how developed of programmes. To know more: see next pages! Re-packaged formats for a better appropriation

• The brief summarizes in 4 pages the initial content of a publication, • The appropriation video is an original video format coupled with an

animated powerpoint, • The quiz allows to discover a publication, and to test your own

knowledge.

The content of these publications is mandatory. It impacts and engages HI as a whole, particularly vis-à-vis the outside world.
